Yep - about halfway between Ouray and Silverton, it's on the west side and descends into Telluride. This driver (a 23 year-old out-of-stater) was driving up the pass from Telluride - the wrong way. She lost it while trying to turn around.
Others on this forum have driven BBP, and can attest to its treachery. I've driven several passes in the area, but have never tried BBP because too many loonies (like this driver) make it even more hazardous. There was another rollover/rolloff several months ago that another driver captured on his dashcam - I think it's posted on YouTube.

Just there a month ago. We drove over Imogene Pass because the Jeep rental place didn’t allow Black Bear with their vehicle. We hiked up to the base of the falls in Black Bear Pass road at the switchbacks near Telluride. The switchbacks are advanced off-road driving.

That's about right.

BBP is the Mt. Everest of 4W off-roading. Too many people believe it's all about the vehicle you drive rather than the driver's experience and skill. Like Everest, you can die when another does something stupid. There ae plenty of other great San Juan driving adventures.

Ahh, I remember those switchbacks, I have family in Telluride and remember hiking part way up to the falls as a kid in the late 80’s and early 90’s.
