G63 bumper and bull guard on G550

A local G63 has upgraded to Brabus. So he has the front bumper, flares and bull guard available. Has anyone attempted to swap them into a G550? I know the front flares are a little different to meet up with wider front bumper but are all the mounting points/brackets the same?

Thanks for any info.

I would like to know the same too.
If we can swap the g350d bumper directly with g63 bumber, if we have paid for the AMG line package in g350d which comes with flaed arches on all sides

Of note the flared arches on the AMG line package aren't the same as the G63 - the G350d/500 AMG line arches taper on both ends (beside the front bumper and in front of the front door), whereas on the G63 only tapers on the end near the front door. I assume the G63 bumper is wider based on this fact.

It can be done, I am doing it now. You need lots of parts even if the donor bumper and front fender flares are complete. The amount of parts depends upon the completeness of the front bumper. Also, lots of parts are on backorder right now so sourcing the parts can be difficult.

I can attest to that - my dealer has had a steering wheel for me on order now since last August!

Could you PM me what are parts maybe needed? I’ll go over to his shop to see what parts he has. But it’s front bumper, wheel fender flares, rear bumper, and bull guard.

1, The headlights / headlight bezels on the g350d are different.

2, The flair that’s on the arches of the g350d AMG pack is not the same as the G63 either.

G350d

G63

Sorry for the rubbish screenshots but hope they help.

Here you can see the difference between the headlight bezels on both cars. In order to ‘upgrade’ the g350d amg you would need bezels , grill, bumper and arches from what I can tell. It’s something we looked into when we bought the car but when we noticed the lights it was definitely a ‘no go’.

could you just change front fenders and bumper? That way not having to deal with the grill/headlight differences.
I just hate the 550 bull guard and the 63 one looks so much better.

I’m not sure how little or how much it’s possible to get away with but I’m interested to see what happens that’s for sure!
