This letter to MB from NHTSA instructs MB to submit a draft recall notice for approval, prior to such notice being sent to vehicle owners. Logistically, I suspect that until this approval occurs, and MB contacts affected vehicle owners, this recall on delivered vehicles doesn't yet officially exist. Please post a follow-up in coming months if you do eventually receive a recall letter. The notice I received about the call location defect (I think the recall number was 21V058) was in my mailbox about 6 weeks after MB filed the NHTSA paperwork.

Well.... MBUSA has "taken the pledge" - the current VPC delay's on both G550/G63 is "waiting for New Replacement Parts" but under Blood Oath MN Internal will not give up exactly what it entails.
VPC's just received 1st shipment of Parts from Germany Friday April 9 - contracted MB Tech's go on-site at VPC's on Monday - and the work begins !
Your Dealer's won't know much until their NetStar Screen goes from In-Process to Ready - and then from Ready to ready-To-Ship.
The number of G's at VPC's now - "maybe" about 1500-2000

VPC Received - In Process - Ready - Release-To-Carrier (ready to ship)
Release to Carrier means it is ready to be picked up by the Carrier that Services the Dealers in that area. - same as Ready-To-Ship.
Carrier schedules it to get loaded on their Truck - and get that truck moving your way.
Some dealers who are Closer to VPC - can set to "VPC Pickup" where that Dealer sends a truck tat their added expense to pick up at VPC when ready.
With the Backlog of G's - Mercedes is "encouraging" closer Dealer's to select VPC Pickup - as this Rig's got Ready - then with added VPC-Pickup's - more G's will be cleared out sooner.
VPC Pickup has to be Selected as late as VPC Received and In Process - but needs to be selected before Ready

My dealer has already arranged transport via the dealer so it won’t be loaded on a common carrier. Will get it same day released!
Your dealer doing this as well? If not, I would force the issue.

Updates?
Arrived in Brunksick in 4/4, but stuck at VPC. Dealer has little to no information about what the issue is, but mentioned some parts arriving this week.
Anyone get any perks for having to deal with the VPC wait? Better deal on lease?

The perk is MBUSA is waiving all parking fees - parking at EWR is $34/day (lol).
