Have a deposit down for an allocation sometime in 2022. Dealer called today to ask if I would be interested in a "limited Edition" being released by Mercedes with a June availability. Several conditions apply. They will all be white and come with a $50k ADM. I said no.

Has anyone heard the same?

Yes. I am getting the white one in June/July.

 

Thus the reason for PPF - I have it on my hood, front fenders and entire frontend.

 

Curious how these will be distributed? Need to resist calling around for a red magno haha.

Interesting thanks for the info. I've seen builds for the white and red posted, it looks like both have the same options (i.e. speed delimiter and carbon fiber engine cover), so Mercedes isn't letting people choose options?

Also not a huge fan of the night package magno with the black fenders. Basically trying to talk myself out of it haha.

Interesting can any one post build details for the white ones and when will they be arriving at dealers?

 

My dealer couldn’t share build details with me till MB announces the edition in a press release. All I was told was that it’s matte white, with the night package, and MSRP of 187k. Delivery in July.

it’s kind of a rip off, I had mine with every option minus the carbon fiber engine cover and my own config in July 2019 at $20k less…

 

Good point; however, two price increases since 2019 probably account for half that difference. Sure the surround camera and the digital gauges are standard now but that's just a small percentage.

 

The 2021 build I had on order earlier, before this was offered to me, was 182k and it wasn't over-specced by any means. So, 187k isn't that far off. Ultimately what mattered more was the dealer markup, which wasn't absurd for me considering my long standing relationship with the dealership, so overall, the numbers were 'reasonable'. 'Reasonable' being a very relative term in this case

 

One of the local dealer called and asked for about $100k ADM, total at about $300k! Ahhh....

 

My dealer has the white available for +60k if anyone is interested

 

There are 100 Magno Red and 300 Opalith White Magno = 400 total that have been "upside allocated" above/beyond existing Dealer Orders.

Opalith White has not been seen here in the US - it is a White Magno tone that has been done off-and-on out of Graz for select VVVIP customers from specialty markets like Dubai and UAE. If I remember correctly its US MB paint code 659 and Euro Paint Code 6659 - but don't waste Internet Time searching for a example of the color - those off/on few that have been done have never been pictured anywhere that I know of

"Most Dealer's" have been allocated one - a few select dealers have been allocated two .

It's a Upside to dealer's - and I hope it makes the 2021 factory production end-with-upside like end-Aug rather than going out to mid-Sept like past years - and in turn starts 2022 production 1st week Sept - like I say I hope
