Me Connect App issue on new 2021 G63
All,
I am setup in the Me Connect USA app and can remote lock, unlock and start the engine. Near the bottom when i launch the app it asks to connect a profile and followed and went through the steps including the profile sync in the car and the manual data upload all successful. Whenever i try to use the app to set vehicle displays, light settings or vehicle settings the app will ask me to connect to a profile again. If i do this after it is complete it just asks again to connect a profile, over and over and over and will not let me make any changes. Has anyone any experience with this working or have the same issue as me?

Ok, i didn't think I'd find it all that useful either and am glad the remote lock, start, and notifications as well as PSI and so forth all seem to work just fine. I was just hoping it wasn't an issue for me alone. I had also tried disabling the personalization feature and going through the reactivation of just that piece but nothing i had tried worked. Thanks guys for at least confirming it appears to be a wider issue that just my vehicle or profile or Me account. Regards.

Yeah I tried the same thing. Deleted the profiles, created them again, and then tried to export them and reactivate in the app and no dice. No matter what I tried it didn't work. I figured I would just bring it up during my first service, but honestly I already forgot about that feature until I saw your post lol.

Sorry to take this a different way, but you mention you can unlock the car...You mention it is the US app so I assume you are in the US. You have the ability to unlock the car? I can only lock unless I am missing it in the app.

Yes I can lock or unlock the car and remote start the engine when it is locked for 10 minutes and do it again for another 10 minutes if need be but the remote start is limited to two starts and then you must start it obysically with a key thereafter and then start the process again after parked and locked again. All these functions work except the personalization feature like changing lighting and so I. Requires a profile connection mapping from my ME account to the car which I try in the app but does not work.

Where in the app do you unlock? To lock, I go to status, if the car shows unlocked, I can press on it and slide it to lock. I have no such option to unlock. If I watch the mb instructional video, it shows I icon labeled doors....which I don't have.

So I don't have that option, but I am happy to hear that it is just me and not a built in limitation. My Porsche only allows you to lock as well. I rarely need to remote lock, but often need something out of one of the cars and only have my phone on me. I am going to try to uninstall and re-sync. If anyone has any thoughts, I appreciate them.

I wonder if it has to do with location? Maybe blocked in certain markets. I was also able to use my porsche app to locka nd unlock here in the USA. I am not positive where you are located.

I too am US based. Thank you for the follow-up. Reinstallation brought no joy. It prompted me to call Mercedes. They were able to resolve it on their end. The unlock feature is probably my most used remote function so I really appreciate it.
