When I started searching for mine two months ago, probably 8 out of 10 g63's that were listed on the web and at dealer sites were all client commissioned. I ended up just contacting the sales managers of all of the MB dealerships within 150 miles from me and asking if they had any dealer spec'ed G63's that were incoming that weren't already sold. A few had them and sent me the spec sheets. One dealership in particular that was an AMG performance center had 7 incoming that weren't spoken for but none of the specs interested me. All were going to go for $100K+ over msrp. Luckily I was able to find one that I liked at the local dealership that was to be delivered 2-3 weeks later. Paid a big premium for it but I'm glad I was able to get it. If anyone is in the market for one, just contact the dealerships and ask them if they have any more G's incoming that aren't already spoken for instead of wasting time searching the web everyday for new listings

I can't predict the future but I am sure they will soften a bit and already have some. At the end of 2021 when nothing is being built and with no hard news on what to expect with the 2023s, we shall see what happens. At my dealer I am like number 13 on a list for a 23 and am in the midwest. I know they don't get 13 in a year, so there may be a wait. And then there are unknowns. I am sure the big big cites have huge lists. So will supply meet demand, how big will the lists be and how long of a wait, will any possible changes be better, will pricing go up and how much, how big will possible ADMs be and will that justify the decision for the latest thing. I am not selling right now and don't care, but it is fun to follow. I agree when pricing gets to a point some may consider another premium brand maybe. But there are still die hards that would much rather ear tag a Rhino with a G lol. At that point one might ask which model is truly a better off road capable machine and which one is better for making a pizza run. (: Eventually things will fizzle but you will always have something desirable and if you bought in good you will be happy. Just another opinion from me, believe it or not! (:

Several of the used units with very low mileage (less than 100mi) are CPO and one owner cars. When I view the CarFax reports it shows a different originating dealer then titled then owned by 2nd selling dealer. I don't believe the fact another dealer bought the car (say Scottsdale MB buys brand new G from Beverly Hills MB) would register that purchase as a new owner on CarFax? Or possible that originating dealer delivered it new to first owner and said owner quickly flipped it to 2nd dealer hence the car being registered and now a 1-owner car?

Various scenarios could cause this type of timeline on a Carfax, but generally for there to be a registered owner on a Carfax it goes to an actual buyer. Dealer to dealer trades aren't listed as owners since there was never a title transaction with the state. It's not been uncommon for people to get a G from one dealer (say I ordered from Scottsdale, but live in Beverly Hills where ADMs might be higher) and then flip it to another dealer for a profit (BH gives me $50K over what I paid in Scottsdale because they can mark it up $100K). That will show titling of the car from originating dealer to 1st owner, and then subsequently purchased by second dealer.

Roger that, good to know. Thanks mate!

Here's one that is now CPO'd with only 54 miles and it appears to have been registered at 41 miles so it's now considered pre-owned. Interesting it went to auction.

Hoffman Estates has been snapping these up left and right. A few weeks ago they had something like thirty '20 and '21 models on their website. All listed north of $275K if I recall correctly. I thought they would be sitting on them awhile, but when I checked back a week or so later they were down to about 1/3 of what they had when I had looked previously. They obviously know their market!

All those Chicago bankers and brokers with their record year end bonuses -- yep, they know their market!

Yep, they currently have 44 '20 and '21 G63's for sale - at least that's what their website shows - who knows how many they actually have on hand.

I guess when you control the supply you can set whatever price you want!

Has anybody on this forum paid $250K plus for a used '21 G63? My thought is "no way" and that these are all going overseas.

I am in the midwest and was in talks with a used car dealer here locally. MyG63 was on order and I was snooping around on one he he had for sale. It was a 21 G63 and it was like a 170K msrp unit. He sold it for $225K used and it went local. It had around 2500 miles on it if I remember right. So not 250 plus, but pretty close. He only had it for sale for maybe 2 weeks and later said he thought he could have got more. Who knows!

Yes, some on here have. That's not to say some aren't going overseas, but in my area they are moving at above that price point if condition, spec, and miles are right.

Prices seem to be already coming down, almost 30% of the 2019~2021 G63s within 100 miles of me on Autotrader are now showing “Reduced” prices of 3-5% since last month.

I am glad my dealer came though for me and I got mine for msrp. I recently have been offered a lot over sticker and said no. For me it's about the ownership fun experience first. Not bragging, just having fun and enjoying this beast. Although I did jus put it away for winter. (:

haha. Me too. I can’t stand salt, rocks, bad drivers. Welcome to the Midwest . It’s in the garage now and I start it up every now and then.

Exactly my thought, when spring time comes I pull it out of the garage and it is show room ready. Then I do a 2 day detail on my truck and carry on. (: The chemicals they use here on the roads are harsh.

Totally agree the demand for these is softening, and used supply is through the roof.

I’ve mentioned before how many effing dealers I contacted in the summer to find one, and this week alone I’ve gotten 6 calls from dealers around the country trying to sell me one of their hoarded units (both new and used).

Its a stark contrast from the “f*CK off we don’t have any G-wagons” attitude I got previously.

With that being said, the last call I got wanted $130k over MSRP for one of the “last G-wagons to ever be produced”. 😂

Lol pretty much.

The one measurable change is sales guys actually calling me back and wanting to do a deal. Albeit 6 months later.

That was non-existent beforehand. And man were they all pr*cks.

Yeah, I had a salesman hang up on me when I wouldn’t pay $50K ADM
Another dealership didn’t hang up, but I can’t say they acted like professionals, LoL
I ended up purchasing mine at my local dealership. They’ve tried to buy it back 5 times.
