I was looking for a e63 wagon and dealers as of last week won't stop contacting me.

Pricing hasn't come down much but they are trying much harder. Prices will likely come down soon.

If anyone has a connection I'd certainly appreciate it. My dealership called me back 3 weeks ago after I called to just check in with the situation since I've been on a 2.5-3 year waitlist. Without specifying what number, I'm almost all the way to the front of their waitlist now to get one at MSRP since I've done business with this dealership before. He said they changed the rules recently and basically once they start receiving the new G63s later this year, all of the existing G63 owners will be able to go to the front of the line to trade up from their current G63, effectively moving me and others back in the line. I feel like getting one is never going to happen at this point within the next year or two now. Bummed.

Sounds like there are a few options. Stay and wait a long time because now the existing G owners jump the line as as u said. Or find another dealer possibly and I am sure they will be full as well with lists. Or find a nice used one and try to make a deal. I know there are big prices to pay on used, but you just have to ask whats it worth to you. Or go with something completely different auto wise and just wait out the list possibly. I was on the new Z06 list in case my G63 didn't come though. But to be honest, after driving the G, I could care less about another sports car. I have a longer driving season for one, and its a small heavy tank thats more practical for me.

There are now 945 2019-2021 G63s for sale in the US with the inventory rising by approx 100/mo since October not to mention the additional 424 G550s!! That is actually almost double the number of the latest model Cadillac Escalades of all trims available for sale in the US!!! And there are still a few hundred new 2021s that have not arrived to the US yet and a refreshed 2023 model order guide coming up by March according to my dealer !!

I don’t think it’s just anyone who is just wanting to sell their G. It’s basically people willing to sell if they can make $100k profit on their G

I was looking for a Corvette and had one dealer offer my 70K over for my 21 G63, just 2 weeks ago, not boasting. I got into it for msrp but am waiting for the 23 to decide. I am on a reasonable list there and on one for the new Z06. I will play my cards when I am ready I guess. When I was thinking of selling I was following it pretty hard but not so much now. I only have 234 miles on my G63 at this time.

It’s like all those G63a are always for sale for the “right” price

Last Oct was the market top and I predict in the second half of the year used G63s will sell at a discount to MSRP

No way market will tank that quickly on such a low volume vehicle. Especially as others have noted, current owners will get priority from their dealers (dealer can sell the used trade in at a premium while selling the new one just the same).

First deliveries probably wouldn't even commence before October 2022 at the earliest since they are producing the 2022 for the rest of the world I thought?

Does anybody have access to a Manheim report on the '21 G63? That would be a good indicator of what they are actually selling for.

Ferrari…lol a higher priced Alfa Romeo with all of the same build quality issues. I’d rather own an Alfa though, it’d last longer and without the poser manacles😂👍😎

Maybe a Ferrari GTC4Lusso might be the next move. I could use the huge G63 profit to offset the huge hit on the Ferrari. But in the vein of this thread, I wonder if the market is at its peak, or if the used values will continue to increase after they stop making the '21s.

I don’t know about dealers prioritizing existing owners ahead of others who’ve had a deposit down. I’m also seeing dealers flooded with G inventory and not moving them. I live in Miami by the way. I’m also confident later this year once the ‘23 order guide is out that prices will fall back to earth. And no, even as prices correct I won’t be purchasing a used G as I have one on order. Look at what’s happening in the equities market, 20%+ correction same in crypto etc. My circle of friends who could comfortably pay $100k over sticker simply won’t due to mass uncertainty.

About 3 weeks ago it was saying $240-$260K for '20-'21 G63s. I will note that good specs are moving quickly. Odd specs tend to sit. All of them seem to be priced within $20K of each other though. I've seen some good specs sit at dealers for months, but others move quick. I think visibility helps (ie, large dealer with good volume, particularly if they are MB dealer that can certify). Low mile, good spec '20 models are moving in the $270K +/- range. Most '21 are asking $290-$300K, and some are moving at that price.

There is downward movent in prices taking place right now. But dealers will manage/manipulate pricing, and inventories will clear before reaching MSRP, IMO. Nevertheless, this month's CARFAX on my 2019 G550 (12K miles) lists its trade value at $38K over its MSRP. A comparable G is listed for $190K at Isringhausen, down $10K from its offered price last week.

I take it you've never driven a Ferrari before? By the way, the G isn't exactly a subtle car either!

Basically the dealers worldwide have drowned MB with G-class orders to ensure they get their maximum allocations so MB is no longer taking additional orders from the dealers until the waitlist is more reasonable.

After reading all of this, I just had to go out in the garage and pet my G. (:

An amusing article appears in tomorrow's WSJ print (Weekend) edition about used Teslas selling for a couple thousand $s over MSRP.

however, 100k over is little bit too much. Just got a TRD pro special color for 22, the dealer already added stuff which I didn't want on the car ( window tinit, Apex, etc) charged $2300 extra, had people waiting to buy it if I didn't want it

Glad I'm not in the market right now for a car, a house, an RV or any item where pricing is regulated by insanity!

Here's one at a a dealer in Orlando for $150k over sticker: (msrp 175K asking $325k)

"LOL"
The red calipers clash nicely with the blue color.
