MSRP for 2022 G63s out yet?
#51
Is there a Bill of Laden attached to G-Wagons that list MSRP? It may not be called a Bill of Laden but a document that travels with the vehicle with the price on it? I'd like to know so I can ask to see it if I feel they are attempting to charge more than the MSRP and not calling the additional dollars an ADM fee. Don't know that I will have an issue picking up my truck but I do want to be knowledgeable about the process. Surely MB tells the dealer what the MSRP is in some form or fashion.
Thanks

Did you ask your dealer why dealerships are being told to hold vehicles in their possession until August? He didn't bother to explain the reason for that action? Doesn't make sense. When my salesman told me the truck should be here in July he said nothing about holding it until August. What good reason would they have to do this? They are about making money! Covid and equipment shortages slowed profits for dealerships why hold up the money making machine until August?
If I had to guess it's more likely vehicles will be held than not because there's no reason to make that information up and it jives with what's happened in the past.

I didn’t mean to imply the dealerships were pulling a fast one. It is typical for dealers to be told by MBUSA to hold cars until a specific release date.

The only instances I can think of cars being "held" is if the dealership is in possession of a factory demonstration car but in those cases the vehicle was never the dealerships to sell in the first place.

I have never heard of that being a typical occurrence. Within hours of the cars being put on a truck and shipped, they are wholesaled to the dealerships. In most cases the dealership owns that vehicle and all of the others on lines of credit.

Got a call from my salesman advising me that my 2022 G550 was sitting at the port with no assigned ship. It's been there since May 12. When I spoke with him in March he gave me the PO# and said the build date was in June. Last week he told me it was built May 3. A month early? I was totally pleasantly surprised! He didn't have any information on the MSRP. He said he would call me once a ship is assigned. I will track it once I get the name of the ship.
I posted a question a while ago but haven't received any response. Will there be a bill of laden of sorts traveling with the vehicle that will have the MSRP$ written on it? I read a post today that says the MSRP is posted to NetStar once VPC release the vehicle. Is there any truth to that? Anyone know the answer?
Thank you.

Curious to see if the information my dealer gave me was correct that these cars won’t be released until August. I hope I was given the wrong information or MBUSA chooses to release these cars early.

I posted a new thread this morning regarding just this topic.
Based on what I saw on the Monroney Label, the 2022 Base MSRP is $231,900. More details & uploaded copy of label for reference are on my new thread posted.

Netstar post today. 2022 G 63's are released for sale. That means they can now be put through the process to be delivered to the dealers.

Mercedes raised base prices of G63 by $23k in 2022.
Previously fully loaded would have ran about $184k msrp. Now 211K +

2013 S550 SOLD / 2016 S63 SOLD / 2017 GLS450 / 2017 G550 4x4 / 2019 G63 E1 SOLD / 2019 S63 COUPE
Consumers are the main reason for that increase in the BASE price, dealers are selling new ones for $70K TO $150K Over MSRP and we people are paying so why MB will not increase it by $30K?
