Just a little help please. Assuming I just need a battery replacement.

That’s the starter battery. Has your vehicle been sitting for a while? If so you just need to run the engine for a while to recharge it. If you don’t drive it often put it in standby mode or alternatively you can get a trickle charger.

Troubleshooting wise you could get it checked at the dealer or an auto part store. Alternatively you could get a trickle charger like a Noco and charge it up and see if the message goes and stays away.

If it were only a year or so old I'd go the trickle charger route, but assuming this is your 2019 listed under your username and you have not changed it before, it could just be time for a replacement as it's 4-5 years old.

Was this an advisory sent to your MercedesMe app? Odd that it doesn't report the battery voltage if it's critical. I agree with the other post replies. Have the battery health checked at a dealer or auto store. The battery on my 2019 G550 went south a year ago after 42 months. There's nothing special about MB OE batteries -- I think they're re-branded as MB by Varta. I bought an Autozone Duralast Platinum ($240 / made in Germany) and DIY'd the replacement in less than an hour. Toughest part is hoisting 60 lbs of lead out of the battery well under the cargo floor.

Charging terminals are under the hood on the passenger side. The positive terminal is under a red plastic cover. The negative is a steel stud located close by. Read the OM and charger instructions carefully. You don't want to connect it backwards.

BTW, when you have your current battery tested, do it at the battery, not the charging terminals. Load testing at the charging terminals can produce inaccurate results.

I just had my 2021 G63 serviced at the dealer and they helped me set up the Mercedes App. No messages before service visit. They did a software updated and disconnected the battery in the process. Now I'm getting constant low battery message.

Could be an issue with the Mercedes app? No message shows up in the vehicle.

It was low according to tender. Let it sit overnight. Shows charged now. We'll see.

After buying my G550 4 years ago, MB kept calling me trying to sell me the MercedesMe app, which at the time had an annual subscription fee. Forum posts reported the app didn't work well, and I felt there's just something wrong with buying a $150K car and then being nickle-and-dime'd with an app whose features I'd never use.

If the app is reporting a battery issue, but there are no dashboard warnings, I'd tell the dealer to figure it out.

I didn’t know they used to charge for it. I would never pay for the app but I do find it useful as a free add-on and use it occasionally. Reminds me of when BMW tried to charge a monthly subscription fee for Apple CarPlay and then quickly backtracked when they got a lot of negative press.

BMW has a similar app, "myBMW", that provides a collection of remote control and information functions. BMW promotes software updates via this app as if the updates are critical. I installed one such update on my X7, and mostly what it did was mess up all my personal settings that took me half a day to sort through. These updates also reset any custom coding that an owner does via OBDII. The update that was released early last year surreptitiously blocks a popular aftermarket coding app, Bimmercode, from working. Install this BMW update, and it blows away the annoying start/stop function disable that an owner has coded, and there's no way around it. Car manufacturers are encroaching into digital rights where they think you buy a car, but they still own it and can tell you how you're allowed to configure it.
