These reviews are so confusing. Above says it's speakers (timeline 5:30). I got an oppertunity one at MSRP for 2024 trade. Just looking all the facts

I just ordered my first G63 AMG, and I am going to get it delivered in March 2025 (Europe)
I'm kind of split between Hyper Blue Magno and Night Black Magno. I like them both, but I'm debating with myself which will sell easier and whether they hold resell value in the same way.
Keep in mind I probably won't drive it for more than a year or two.
What do you think?

You can’t “order” a G63 until your dealer has an allocation and they don’t give out allocations that far out. Also, if you do end up getting an allocation in March 2025, the vehicle produced will be a MY26 which may have new colors. Point is I wouldn’t worry about what color you’re going to order until you get your allocation.

I live in Europe. I've just paid a deposit for the car, and the production date is March. The planned delivery is for April.
All per contract.
Cheers.

All G63s are manufactured at the Graz facility in Austria and MB releases allocations to dealers on a rolling basis. So it sounds like you’re on the waiting list for a March 2025 allocation. Once your dealer gets the allocation then you’ll be able to order your G and select your options, color etc.

Easy to figure out assuming Europe is the same.
Does your dealer have a purchase order number for you? If so then you have an allocation. If not then you have a deposit and the dealer has told you when your spot in line is.
Everybody puts in an “order” and deposit when you tell the dealer you want a car. They use that to input when an allocation pops up. Otherwise it’s just an order sitting in a queue.
I’ll give you an example. I went to a local dealer and gave them an order and they put it in their system. Three years later no call and in the meantime I’ve had four different G63s from other dealers.
Either way if delivery is not until April 2025 then the car won’t be made for awhile.
In the States the black magno is one of if not the most desired color so resale will be great. I’ve been told blue in general is maybe the least desirable. If it’s equal to you I would get black but if you really like the blue go for it and enjoy it. There’s a butt for every seat so there will be a market for hyper blue G63s.

I think Night Black Magno would have better resale as well. I think the new Monza Gray Magno will also be popular. Not sure if you're in Europe or in the US.
As for the order, like others have said, its usually an allocation to you (at least in the US). I placed an "order" for MY22 G63 in August and I was allocated the next available spot for my build. They said delivery would be March the following year. Except I got a VIN assigned to me late October/early November and car was delivered late December. So until or right before the VIN gets assigned, we all have an allocation.
Regardless, congratulations on getting your car spec'd. What interior are you going with? Hope to see some pics of it when you get it!

I'm a newbie to the '24 and my wife is waiting for the '25. She likes the fact that the '25 has a bit faster 0-60 acceleration given the assistance by the small electrical booster. She is already teasing me about how my car will be "slow" compared to hers.
With all the onslaught of recent videos and pictures of the '25 online, now she's having second thoughts... All the teasing from her aside, she has been astonished by my /24's looks and ride comfort. I've already told her the '25s will be the most technologically advanced G63s, such as the small electric motor to boost the V8 Biturbo and the updated info system with touch screen. Apparently, she sees a slight outward curvature on the front grill of the '25 that she is not a fan of, and she hasn't seen one fitted with a brush guard. She's now talking instead of picking up a '24 while they're still around. I told her to hold off as pictures are never the most accurate reflection of the G63 and the curvature on the front grill she sees may be an optical illusion due to its more aerodynamic hood design, which does appear to have a bit more downward slope than previous years. As for the bush guard, my guess is that MB simply wants you right now to see the '25's clearly so they have yet to fit them with brush guards. I told her MB will probably fit the production models with brush guards or at worst MB would make the brush guards an option for the buyers.
She is making up her mind this month. Thoughts and inputs from members of this forum are welcome, please.

#Hodog16, good idea. I think I've successfully convinced her over the weekend that the brush guard/bull bar is now a lesser issue. Her only remaining apprehension is the shape of the front grill and hood slope.
When MB installs the bull bar for the '25 production units, I hope they adhere to their current format of installing them at the bumper area for the G63s, while at the front grill area for the G550s. It'll be quicker/easier to make a visual distinction between the two trims, plus I like the look and utilitarian value of its placement on the bumper area. It already saved me once since ownership. I was parking my car in a dimly-lit market supermarket garage over a week ago and accidentally tapped a misplaced shopping cart - one of those shopping carts where obnoxious people leave a part of it hanging over the parking space stone block and the remaining cart on the other side - with my bull bar. It was my fault, but zero damage or scuffs. Thank goodness.

??? I don't think I said anything negative. All the reviews I recall viewing are quite positive. They almost all talk about how mild hybrid is a natural evolution and a good decision by MB instead of going only with EV for the '25.

ADM
Is everyone (other than HotDog) expecting to pay an ADM when they trade up to the 2025? I realize that the magnitude of the ADM varies geographically but does anyone have a verbal agreement to purchase at MSRP?
#196
I didn’t pay any ADM on my custom ordered 2021 and I won’t pay any ADM on my 2025 order either. If you guys put in the work you will find the same. Call every single dealer if you need to. I had zero prior relationship with the out of state dealer that I ordered my 2021 G63 with at MSRP.

I am in line for a 2025 at MSRP with my local dealer, but not sure if I want a 2025 yet or should hold off until the MY2026.

The only reason for me possibly waiting until 2026 is that may be the first year to spec a G580, and it may also be the first year they offer it with the Sila battery. But if it were the other models there is no need to wait...there will not be any bugs to work out to avoid the first year since MB probably does more testing than most manufacturers and besides, it will have a warranty.
