If there is an Autonation MB Dealer near you check with them since they are at MSRP in central FL but you have to get on the waitlist, which is currently very long - about 2 years or more, depending on how many they build. G63s have the most interest followed by the G550 and lastly, the G580.

But if I liked EV's, it is an interesting proposition given it looks cooler than all of the other egg shaped blob EV's out there that all tend to look the same.

Usually if they are available overseas then they will be available in the USA and vice versa because it is the same production line. Based on the huge price bump in the UK and Germany it looks like the 2025 G63 will start at approx $225,000 and the electric will be priced lower probably around $210,000 in the USA!!!

Monoblocks are AMG-specific like the cross-spoke wheels everybody has. I think it's a given eventually an electric G will have a future AMG spec (not counting the AMG-line option)
There is a monoblock-like wheel that I saw in some reviews similar to the concept ones, but it's not in the configurator.

Mercedes has decided to do what bmw have been doing for ages and are now using fake engine noise through speakers for some 43 and 53 models. Schmee on youtube said the new g63 is the same.

The problem with the Euro versions is that they had to implement particular filters as per their regulations which in turn muted the sound of all 63 models in Europe. Even in all of recent reviews of the facelift G63, it still had that classic G burble. So if the NA version is going to be even louder than these recent videos then I dont think there will be an issue.

All of MB's other models that received the mild hybrid (like the GLE and GLS 63's) behaved, drove and sounded the same as their pre-facelifts. At least in North America. The only thing that changed was a mild improvement to efficiency and a little bit more initial power.

Hope the above is true on the particulate filters, Porsche USA cars have them since 2019 ……..I have it on my 2019 Speedster and my 2019 older motor didn’t have them. Not sure how MB would have gotten around the PTF’s.

Don't think its "getting around" if they're not required in NA to begin with. Im just speculating here but Im guessing Porsche just put them in all of their cars (which is cheaper for manufacturing) so as to meet EU regulations and since they are not as revered for their exhaust notes, it wasn't a deal breaker. Whereas for 63 models, exhaust note is kind of a big part of the purchase so they didn't include the filters for markets that don't require them.

It has been the case since the introduction of these filters and one of the recent reviewers of the facelift (forget exactly which one) said that the NA versions wont have them and will sound better as a result.

The RS will damage your hearing no PTF and the Speedster actually sounds good just not like the RS due to the PTF. Nothing sounds like a NA flat 6 in the AMG category 😎. Love my AMG’s but not close to NA at 9k.

Not knocking Porsche at all btw, but you chose pretty much the only current Porsche offering that can compete with V8s/V10s/V12s for sound. I would say most buyers enjoy Porsche for their engineering, driving/handling, quality, weight and durability/reliability. The current Turbo S for example sounds like a lawn mower if you ask me. Even the Panamera/Cayenne Turbos with V8s sound significantly more muted than the G63.
Whereas 63 AMG's (at least in previous gens) sounded better all across the model range.

Guess you never heard a screaming GT3 engine revving to 9k RPM it’s Porsche’s signature tune, and PTF did mute the 992’s. The driver was emissions to burn more of the unspent fuel, and that reduces the sound. Some Porsche guys just pull out the PTF packing and it will still pass emission's. My AMG’s don’t scream like one of these at 9k

Remove Before Race posted a video today that sells the 2025 pretty well. Just got to make sure the performance package is optioned!
That monza gray magno is really growing on me too but man that specific press car has been flogged so much by reviewers.
