I think your dealer is giving you inaccurate information. 2025 order banks have not opened yet so MY25 Gs are not being produced right now. You stated in your previous messages that you have a March build slot with an estimated April delivery. That means you won’t get your VIN until sometime in March. Not trying to give you a hard time… just helping you navigate what the dealer is telling you vs what actually happens when a G is manufactured.
Once your dealer has an allocation then you can order your specification. A PO is issued when the order is entered into NetStar and a build decade then gets assigned. This is the date your vehicle is scheduled for production. When the vehicle enters production then a VIN is assigned. Delivery after production is completed is typically 6-10 weeks depending on where you are located.

Couldn’t have said it any better. Maybe Europe does it differently?
If the car was being delivered in August we would all say oh cool maybe Mercedes is doing Europe first but to get a vin now and delivery in April 2025 is very odd, but hopefully it all works out in the end.

G63 Active Ride Control Suspension
Today Mercedes-AMG posted a 5 minute video on the new AMG Active Ride Control suspension, available as part of the AMG Performance Package or the AMG Offroad Package Pro. This suspension is also able to be ordered as a standalone option on the 2025 G63, at least in Europe.
Thought this was a good overview and others may be interested in case you had not yet seen it.

Thanks for posting the video, I had a 21 G 63, traded for a 24 G 63 and I’m going to order a 25 G 63. I think I want the performance package, but have no plans for taking it off road or ordering the off road package. Any idea if they’re going to offer larger wheels than the 22” wheels I have on my current G 63?
In case it helps, attached is a screenshot of the various wheel options for the 2025 G63 shown in the German configurator (with browser-based translation turned on). Whether all of these are offered in North America for 2025 is unclear, but would imagine most will be offered.
Just out of curiosity, what is intriguing to you about the performance package? Am really interested in your thoughts as a current G owner. Thank you! Personally I am leaning towards the AMG Active Ride Control as a standalone option if it is available that way in the U.S., but not sure about the AMG Performance Package.

Hi. I don’t know anything about the performance package, or the stand alone active suspension option. My dealer doesn’t have any information because the order guide isn’t available yet. I was curious about the wheels thinking they might offer 23” wheels as an option for 25. I know the GLS 63 has 23” wheels. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks for the input and posting the wheel information.

The DE configurator shows the AMG Performance Package includes 6 features and is priced at EUR 11.876,20 (ouch). Attached is a screenshot from the configurator with key details.
As a standalone option, the AMG Active Ride Control system is priced at EUR 4.522,00 (both of these prices include VAT so would expect U.S. prices to be less expensive, even with the currency difference).
It will be interesting to see whether the Performance Package includes the same equipment as shown in the German configurator or whether there are any differences.

The Germany configurator allowed me to select the Performance Package and revert to the 22” wheels of my choice to avoid the gold finish.

Sorry if this was previously discussed and I happen to miss it but does anybody know if the new G63 has improved active lane assist? The latest model is scary. I’d also love it if they improved the proximity warning sensor too, mine constantly triggers.
#217
Same with my 21 G 63 and now my 24 G 63. The LKA is dangerous. I turn it off every time I get into my vehicle. I’d hate for it to go off driving in snow and ice. The proximity sensors go off for no reason at stoplights and certain situations. I’m ordering a 25, but don’t have any information about the changes other than what others have posted and videos I’ve seen. The infotainment is really outdated and that’s going to change in the 25 model.

i read they upgraded it to the lane keep assist that other Mercedes have.

Where did you read that? The G has hydraulic steering rather than EPS which is why it uses “smart braking” for LKA instead of electronic steering. I haven’t seen any articles that state the MY2025 was changing to EPS.

Since the 2025 model will have a new design, I wish they would make rear axel steering available as a feature. The one annoyance I have with my '24 is its abysmal turning radius. Actually, I don't think I've made a full u-turn yet because I always end up having to make a 3 point turn.
