What tires do you run on your G63 AMG

Time to change them, have our first 10,000 miles. Factory came wth Michelin Latitude Cross 285/45 21. I've been on tire rack and price-wise have seen the following:

Anyway, surely there is a happy place in between there, and I don't think any of these are going to give me more than 10 to 12 K. And I damn sure not going to let my wife's tires get skinny just to save a few bucks and hydroplane lol.

What do you run as a replacement? Why do some of these say truck/suv tire? We like sticky performance tires better I think than truck/suv, or am i misreading truck/suv? Why do some of these have a car brand in their description? Do they not work for all cars/trucks in that size lol. What do you run?

Sure...
Start with a 50mm LeTech suspension lift to get some increased height/tire clearance.

Tires are 33x12.50r22 Toyo Open Country MT
Wheels are AG Luxury 3-piece 22x10.5 and if I recall correctly the offset is +12. If I was going to remake these wheels I would go with a +20 or +25 offset to keep them from rubbing the inner fender liner at the front of the wheel.

How do these feel compared to stock pirelli’s? Are they significantly louder? I would think the Toyo’s absorb bumps on the road better

I’m running Toyo AT3. 285/45/22 and they definitely absorb road bumps much better than the pirellis. These are smooth riding quiet tires!

@The Butcher when you briefly ran the OEM 22" mesh wheels with the 33 Toyos did you run spacers? You have built great looking G wagons from your posts here. I would appreciate your take on whether 285-45-22 AT tires on OEM 22" mesh wheels would rub at stock height and 31mm H&R spacers.

fully agree with TNMICH; ride better than the stock pirelli tires. I don't notice a difference in the noise.

Glad to hear the Toyo’s are good. I’ve been going back and forth on whether I should stick with pirelli’s or go with all seasons like the Michelin AS4’s or go the AT route with the Toyo’s or nitto ridge grappler; comfort really is the main priority with more snow capability. Leaning more towards the Toyo’s due to speed rating and 3 peak mountain rating and just the overall look. I was hesitant about ride quality and if rubbing was an issue but so far I’ve heard no issues

Hmmm, tough call. I'd say they would probably fit fine, but you might actually consider a 20mm or 23mm spacer instead of the 31mm to have an extra bit of clearance. 20mm or 23mm would put the tires pretty flush (no poke) with the fenders as they stick out about 3/4" to .9".

I can't recall the offset of the factory wheel, but I can tell you the following fits with no lift and minor rubbing on the front inner fender at the front:

22x10.5, ET +21
305/45R22 Nitto Terra Grappler G2

Well in one of those it looks better on paper or pictures and what was I thinking, I ordered the 285/45R-21 GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 ASYMMETRIC 5 SOUND COMFORT TECHNOLOGY XL. One came in damaged so we have to wait on the front, but that gives me chance to compare how they look. The F1s just at glance don't look like they would shed water well, and omg are they soft. But worse of all they look rounded or something. They just don't look right! Hhmmmmm

Thoughts? The rears are the Goodyears.
