Definitely solo color. The two-tone does not look good and will hurt resale. Red pepper is also more desirable and pops more vs Bengal red. So if you want a more muted look, do bengal. But know that it is more like a red/maroon leather.

The only thing I would not do on your build is the two-tone dashboard. While this looks good in some colors, it can be a lot in the red pepper. Your truck being black will look better with the black dash and center armrest but highlighted by the bright red seats and door panel inserts.

Me personally, I like the red pepper more than the bengal but that's entirely up to you. There's no wrong choice, they're both great. Some people will like red pepper more and others will like bengal more. Just pick what your favorite is. Can't go wrong!

This is true of all W465 G63s: the current MBUX steering wheel (NTG6+) allows for the AMG drive unit and the steering wheel heating to coexist/function together. The previous NTG5 COMAND era steering wheel could only support one or the other at a time.

Is anyone else (specifically in the states) being told about restrictions regarding carbon trim and night package? Not going for anything crazy, just wanted to spec the carbon interior trim, the carbon steering wheel and regular night package and my dealer is saying there is a world wide restriction on these options and that the factory currently wont build.

From what others are saying about the order guide being incomplete or filled with spelling mistakes, to not having a working configurator, to dealers and customers having to play the elimination game when it comes to what options are allowed in NA and to now options being restricted because of a shortage or something?

I have to wait even more since these options are deal breakers for me. I get supplier issues, but to come short on the options that most G63's will want checked seems ridiculous and MB seriously needs to revisit the whole ordering process to make it much easier on the customer.

I was able to order the night package and CF interior trim but the CF steering wheel was not available due to the part shortage.

Typical I guess that the US is prioritized over us but still very annoying. Now I need to wait until these restrictions are lifted and the factory doesn't know when that will be.

Just checked out a 2025 G 550, it seems builds for the US Market started in May, only about a month after general W465 production started. That means the transit time could not have been more than 13 weeks and was most likely less. Could this mean the September/Earlier October G 63 builds might reach dealers in the US this year?

MPG on the 550 is also 17 City/19 Highway/18 Combined for anyone interested, since I can’t seem to find that info online.

Yes, I expect to have mine before the end of the year. Depending on how long they sit at the port of entry waiting on EPA certification. My 21 sat at the port for 3-4 weeks and was an early build. My 24 didn’t sit at the port very long. Both arrived around the end of November, the 21 was the first of December. Then, you have to wait for it to be assigned to the transport company to deliver it to your dealership.

Are total build to dealer times closer to 8 weeks than 12 then? There’s a chance I may end up with a mid-October build.

It all depends if everything lines up perfectly. It takes a week to build, goes by rail from Austria to Germany, then put on a ship to the US. if it gets on a ship right away, and when it comes into the port in the US and gets assigned to a trucking company, it can go pretty fast.

On my '24, I have the "AMG Night Package Magno" - "DF4" code selection. It's an awesome package as all of the tiny exterior items are matted out in Night Black Mango or otherwise heavily tinted, matching the exterior color scheme of my car. To my surprise, this package did not offer the blacked-out treatment on the running boards. I've been thinking about doing exactly what you mentioned - just having it powder coated matte black. However, I've grown somewhat accustomed to the way it looks now as it helps me pay attention to the running board while entering in a dark garages or at night time (I bumped my shin once while entering the vehicle and BOY DID THAT HURT!!!).

I also noticed how my running boards are the first place to get dirty after a wash. Have you ever powered coated the running boards on any of your G63s? If so, kindly share your thoughts and recommendations on your experience. Thanks in advance!!!
I had this done on my wifes 24 G63 before delivery and its a significant difference visually vs not

Anyone from a dealer who's not looking to charge ADM for a build? I'm trading in my '20 G63 Brabus into my south florida dealer, and they're huffing and puffing about "market price" and "possibility of a +50k adm". I have obviously told them that they're not going to get the deal of a year on a trade in and also an adm, but of course they don't care.
