What is Best Air Pressure For 19” G550

Just got my 25 G550 with 19”s. Unlike prior year models, there is no tire pressure tag on the gas cap ( which generally differed from the door tag. The 2025 door tag indicates 38 psi for front and 46 psi for rear. Seems a bit illogical with weight of engine in the front. Appreciate any input y’all can share.

I noticed also that my 2025 G550 with 19s has no tire pressure sticker on the gas cap cover. If it's like many Range Rovers I have owned, that rear tire pressure recommendation is higher in case you are towing and have weight on the hitch, and both are set higher to assume maximum GVWR, 5 people plus cargo. In the absence of any towing I usually set mine at about 36/38 driving around by myself which is 95% of my driving. One of thing great things about 19s is you have so much sidewall and besides greatly preferring that look on a G Wagon as opposed to the usual giant wagon wheels they have, there is a LOT more leeway when it comes to keeping PSI in a specific range.

Interesting, I wonder why they got rid of the sticker. If other MB models is an indication, the sticker is vastly different compared to the one on the driver pillar area. Depending on the configuration, the tire pressures recommended depends on load and speed as well.

EQ models have the sticker move on higher up the driver pillar but I don't see why the ICE G-wagen will have the sticker there but worth checking as well.

Just noticed this discussion. I have a brand new 2025 G550 with the 20" Falken tires. I have no tire pressure label on the inside of the fuel door either. The only tire pressure label I have on my G is on the inside of the drivers side B pillar, and it states 38 PSI for the front and 46 PSI for the rear and I feel this is too high, the ride is harsh on imperfect road surfaces.

Why the heck did MB omit the PSI label on the fuel door for 2025? On my Mercedes app it states "Please refer to the inside of the fuel filler cap for the recommended tire pressure".

I just responded to your private message, but saw this thread and wanted to respond. I am likely planning to run the same PSI all four around, especially when I switch out to the all-terrain tires. I scanned the QR code from your photo, it worked, and it doesn't say anything about recommended tire pressure - just information on other aspects of the vehicle.

That is the rescue card. Used by firefighters to rescue the occupants and identify where to cut, it is a Mercedes patent. I am still not sure why the tire pressure sticker isn't on the fuel cap though. Did you try checking higher up the driver pillar?

never mind on the sticker location, the one higher up on the driver side pillar is only there because there is no sticker on the fuel cap and only on EQ or EQ technology vehicles, basically fully electric.

We need to figure out why there is no sticker on the gas cap, this is an ICE vehicle, no?

Any way to figure out why the sticker is missing in the first place?

This is going to be the first thing I look at when I go to pick up my new G Wagon likely this week. I am so curious now.

Your salesperson will be shocked as I don't think anyone else would had look for a sticker during pickup. Usually check the paint and other stuff. This will be a first

Did your dealership have a clue why the sticker is missing? Is it the same for other 2025s what about a model year before that?

Hi. My dealer was in Boston area, I live in NC and Naples. I didn't bother telling the Boston dealer as there's nothing they can do. Seems there's a few here in the forums who are sans the sticker. Maybe my G Wagon is a Chinese knockoff...🤔

I see, guess it is normal then, they can't forget to include it for so many vehicles right? So might be intentional.
