Can the headlight DRLs / Rings be disabled?

Hey Everyone:

Does anyone know if the daytime running lights (you know, those rings / circles that are illuminated when the headlights are off) can be disabled?

DRLs used to be easily disabled via coding, but times have certainly changed. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Update: I emailed BenzNinja and they said they’re able to disable them, but don’t have the updated license for 2025 models yet. So we wait.

Curious, why do you want to disable them OP? It looks pretty cool.

I checked in my vehicle settings and looks like DRLs can be deactivated. Here are the instructions from my operator's manual. If you don't have these settings available then perhaps MB no longer allows for DRLs to be disabled on the 2025's?

Awesome! I will give this a try later in the week and report back.

As for why I want to disable them … I don’t like them on my cars, when I can avoid it.

Plus, the desert G is loud enough. A little less “look at me” would be nice. If they were more than just big circles (eyeglasses), I could be convinced!

Haha, yes—you should dare.

This was a missed opportunity. They should be “G”s, not spectacle rings.

To be honest, you are right, they sort of look like those from a Porsche 911 and a Mini when it comes to those rings.

Never thought of that, but that would've been very cool! MB missed an opportunity for sure.

They are focusing on putting their MB logo in headlights and taillights, will be interesting what they will do to the G wagen headlights.
