Brakes+Rotors - what to order/where? 2020 G63

Hey guys, been a minute. Hope you are all doing great with your Gs!

50k into my G63 and it's been perfect. However I BURN through brakes and get a shake too fast. Tired of paying for benz replacements at $4600! Question - if I wanted to do a full brake and rotor change out on my rears, what all do I need to buy and where? I keep second guessing myself. Has anyone ordered the full parts kit? Can you please share it with details?

Do I really need "benz" rotors or can I get these Brembo's?
Do I need a "sensor" or pad pins or anti shake parts?

https://www.fcpeuro.com/Mercedes~Ben...keywords=rotor

Any help would be appreciated!

Skip the Benz rotors, Brembos are perfect. For a full rear job, you need: rotors, pads, a new wear sensor, and the hardware kit (clips/pins) to prevent shake. Get it all from FCP Euro for the lifetime warranty.

Aren't the Brembos what MB uses anyway? Just with a MB logo? And the rears are just Zimmermans? Or am I nuts?

I just ordered Brake World Pads for front and back wheels and New Brembo Rotors for front wheels. My G63 only has 14k but I feel pulsating/shake when I apply the brakes. Pads were little pricy, but I was so tired of the brake dust of OEM pads and from the conversation I had with Jason at Brake World, I should see a reduction in brake dust by 70 to 80 percent.

I was debating getting Racing Rotors from Brake World as well but, I drive like an old man so did not see need for Racing Rotors ;-)
In case someone is looking to replace Front Rotors, I ordered them thru Partsgeek.com and Brembo part number is 09-D762.10 and they were $178 a piece, substantially cheaper than OEM pricing.

I have run the ZAC 2 piece rotors for year and half now. They have performed and held up well. The cost has gone up $200 front and $100 rear, but you can likely get a discount like I did buying all 4. I also used the Brake World pads. They also do well and dust while still
there is much butter than OE but don’t expect to keep wheels cleaner more than a few days.

That is not a bad price at all. I will try these next. I get rotors annually - something about a few mile downhill heavy braking hill followed by rapid cooling in Vermont - and my rotors are SHOT so quick.

Ok - So I ordered brakes, rotors, sensors, front and back. (Rears I got from FCP, Fronts I got from Brakeworld). And since i am at it, I got new tires too.

I paid radically less than a dealer.

With installation at an indy auto shop my ALL IN cost was just under $5k -($4880). includes the cost of the tires which were $2400 from TireRack

I went with these ires: 295/40ZR-22 Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 XL

Dealer would have been $10k.

Yes.
Brembo Makes them for Mercedes and they are same as what Mercedes OEM rotors are for 3 times the price from Dealership.

Would one of you guys that has done the Brembo rotors and Italia Hyper pads put together a full parts kit with links for us that are staring this job in the face? If we ask this on the BMW forums the first response would be "do your research". Lets show them we're better than that.

FWIW, I ran FCP Brembos on my 2021 E63S, and they were incredible. They looked amazing and 0 squeak.

If it's helpful for anyone, FCP has a full kit, all in one place, all one invoice. They offer lifetime warranty on the rotors as well.

https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...mbo-4634210500

The price is the same as the kit that @johnnyderm so kindly shared. The only difference is that the FCP comes with OEM pads vs the DiscItalia.

Just hoping to build on this list of options.

Thank you so much! With my G63 on order, I was proactively thinking about brakes and was going to put this in my notes.

Has anyone purchased these parts and done the brake job themselves? I'd be curious to know if anyone did it themself at home and not at an independent shop..
