I have a 26 G63 being built actually on October 27th (cant wait) but when we were going through the options two months ago, there was an option my salesman talked me into as I wasn't sure about it, but figured its something new, so I agreed to it, and it is the illuminated star on the front grill. Once my order was approved etc they confirmed the build sheet without delays and they still have the illuminated star logo as confirmed, and I have searched the entire web to see one from factory but haven't yet. I assume this is a new option for 2026 model and it does NOT affect the drivers assistance or radar--who knows if it will actually come this way but wanted to see if anyone else saw this as an option when they were building. My fear was that it would be "tacky" but I think it makes it different and hopefully it comes out clean, otherwise I will have to find a way to replace or remove it :P

Maybe it’s a US spec option? I am in New Zealand and I have checked there is no such option, I have also tried the UK configurator and also don’t have this option.
Please post a photo when you receive the car as I think it will look pretty cool.

You’re right, it’s a brand new 2026 MY option. It’s a separate LED unit mounted in the grille, not a replacement for the radar star. So no interference with driver assists. Not many have been delivered yet, so you’re an early adopter. On a G, it’ll likely look bold, not tacky. If you hate it, swapping back to a standard star is a five-minute job. Congrats on the build.

Awesome! This is what mine will have on it. I will post photos once I take delivery, hopefully here within a week latest! I am sure its something you may be able to add on somehow, but I am not sure. I think the option was about $650.
what's interesting is that even though that car has the dark chrome package, which gives you a dark chrome star, it looks like the illuminated emblem only comes in silver chrome. i could be wrong

good point. I didn’t notice that so I’m not sure. I opted to keep the silver/chrome instead of night package like 99% of the other g63 are!
IT ARRIVED!!!! Salesman thought it would be next week then thirty min later he sent me a pic of it unloading from truck. Picked it up this evening! I’m sooo in love already. By far gorgeous inside and out. Prob my favorite car I’ve owned to date already. I’ll post photos!

I posted in the other thread, but that is one amazing G Wagon!!! I am so curious to see what the illuminated star looks like at night. Can't wait to see more photos.
