New Gelaendewagen to debut in September at the Paris Auto Show
According to Autospies the Gelaendewagen will be getting a fresh makeover and will make it's debut in September at the Paris Auto Show. The G will be getting a new interior and a seven speed transmission.

Okay, I don't mean to sound stupid or what the deal is....
But are you simply talking about the GL-class, which would make you a little bit late with this "breaking" news
OR
Are you saying that there is a new Gwagen that is coming? Which would be dubbed the "G" class, like it has been?

So, wait, can someone please tell me if they're actually going to keep the G wagon OR is this just another GL Class car/derivitive of the GL Class?

Production of the G-Class (W463) has been extended through 2010 at least and will be sold alongside the GL-Class (X164). It is expected that the interior, electronics, gearbox, and engines of the G-Class will be updated in the coming months and years to match the rest of the MB product family. Exterior modifications will be limited. It's not going to "look too civilian."

Yes, I wouldn't go off roading in that silly GL to save my life.
Has anybody seen the Top Gear Episode where Jeremy Clarkson is driving a Land Rover Range Rover Sport against a real British tank? It's ridiculous, I also hear that the BMW X3 can't go offroading very well (no surprise there).
Scared me to death.

Oh cool!!! Thank (whoever it is that you thank), we get to keep the Gwag!! So until 2010, they will really make the interior and engines nice. And Xenons, that's crazy hahaha..
oh well, I still can't decide if we should keep the "last Gwag" (2005 Grand Edition G55), or actually trade it in once an update comes out....
