Introducing Claudia IV
Friends, I'm happy to share with you the first pictures of my fourth G-wagen, affectionately known as Claudia IV. She is a 2010 G55 AMG "Edition 79" finished in Designo Alanite Grey Magno matte paint with two-tone Designo Sand/Black leather, and AMG Carbon Fiber interior trim and side strips. There's a bunch of chrome stuff on the outside, which will probably get removed at some point. The wheels are titanium painted, but otherwise standard.
The only modifications I've done so far are to put some clear (almost) ceramic window tints and H&R 30mm wheel spacers to widen her stance slightly. The summer is just beginning in Dubai, so I'll wait till the Fall to take her off road. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Mabrouk! Congrats! The exterior color and wheels color combo is simply stunning. I am tempted to get my wheels painted in titanium now.
ps: how about painting the exterior chrome parts instead of removing them?

Thanks everyone, I'm very happy with the purchase.
aliasgars: ~$160k and it's fully loaded, including ambient lighting...which wasn't as impressive as I'd hoped.

They are based on the 2010 E-Class (W212) and are more comfortable, better multi contour features, and improved ventilation. Also, only the "Edition 79" cones with two-tone leather.
Actually much easier, the paint is actually more durable than the standard paint MB uses and it doesn't require waxing or polishing.
A fully loaded 2010 G55 lists for $140k in Dubai.
is it a ***** washing the car?? the matt paint...
how much is the standard g55 amg with designo interior for?

Congrats again. Wish in Canada we could get the Limited Edition but alas even ordering a simple model is a three-month-wait experience and the only customization that can be made is wether you'll pay with debit or credit lol

Help? Aesthetics. A lot of people install them here (Dubai) saying that it helps with lateral stability, such as when off-roading in the desert (dune bashing)...but really I don't really believe that.
I was a bit worried about possible damage to the wheel bearings, but my dealer tells me that these H&R 30mm spacers are TÜV certified for the W463 (G-Class) and they have customers who have had them installed for many years without any ill-effects.

On my last g-wagen I had darker tints and I had a lot of problems with reflections cause the front side windows are large, vertical, and flat. Almost became like mirrors on the inside at night. The clearer ceramic tint doesn't have as much of this, keeps out most of the heat (IR radiation), and doesn't mess with cell phone and other radio signals (GPS, WiFi, etc.).

Also, do you have pictures to compare the "stance" of the vehicle with and without those H&R spacers? I think the truck would greatly benefit from the look of a slightly wider stance.
