% from list price?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. How much can I expect to reasonably negotiate from list price on new G63? My dealer has offered me 1.5% but I am asking for 10%. Am I completely nuts??

10% I doubt it. There are very few on the ground yet, at least in US & Canada, and allocations are very hard to come by.

10% IS nuts.
There is only a 7% profit on that car and any dealer getting a G63 has no problem selling it at full list.
I received a $2k symbolic discount based on the fact that it was my 15th AMG bought from them since 2001.
I would gladly pay full price if I had to,my wife could not be happier and when she is happy so am I.

I think %7 is reasonable. I dont know why the other guy says 7% is their only profit.. like he is a dealer? My friend just ordered ML550 with options he wanted and got 7% off MSRP.

They make more ML550's in a week than G63's in a year. Can't compare the two.

That's true.

I wonder why g550 2013 is so much higher at 113k MSRP now.. I seen them for 118k at dealer already...

Do not pay over sticker for either the 550 or 63 unless you HAVE TO have it ASAP. Econ 101, supply/demand laws in play right now. Aside, if one can afford the 550, then go the extra mile for the 63, the residuals are strong on these machines so you shouldn't get hurt on the back-end with either models. Just a matter of carrying the asset if you intend to finance it.

Has anyone had any luck getting a discount on the MSRP for the G63? My dealer offered me $1k off the car. He's telling me based on the limited production they don't discount the car. I am putting in an order for a 2014 G63 to be delivered January 2014. My argument the cars on sitting in their lot ready to be sold and its a bonus to them to have an order thats money in the bank. Curious to know if anyone has has any luck in North America getting a reasonable discount on them.

You are very unlikely to get much for a of discount on a custom order. You're lucky to get any discount, actually. Dealers are always more willing to discount what they have on the lot as that speculative inventory is depreciating, whereas if you are custom ordering with a deposit it's almost a guaranteed sale.
