US G63 options
My dealer is telling me there are no options except colors, choosing between the 2 wheels and a leather upgrade?? but he does not know the details of the leather upgrade??? so ridiculous.. are there any other options.

I had an order for a G63 in designo mystic blue ( I think ) with exclusive designo interior (again I think)
Anyway dealer could not provide any definitive build date or confirm options. This was back in early July
After a week of no joy imboughtva 2013 Cayenne Turbo off the floor.
It's not the dealer fault . MB gives them no info on the G 63 as they do not seem to care about the US market on this item

Dealers are limited in what information they get for some unknown reason. I've seen and worked with the USA configurator for the G63 at my dealer. Here is what I recall:
You can customize the wheels and colors. There are 3 options.
Default brake caliper is red. You can customize it to Silver.
There are a few interior trim optoins (wood, black piano, carbon). You can customize the steering wheel to have wood or black piano trim. If you opt for trim you cannot have a heated steering wheel. There was some confusion on the availability of the heated steering wheel and the available trim options.
Adding the designo exclusive interior upgrade gives you the diamond stitch effect. A worthwhile upgrade IMO.
I don't recall any other options during the configuration.

USA build your vehicle site no longers lists carbon as option trim.
Also does not show designo exterior colors or exclusive designo interior which is the diamond stitch.
Very frustrating for someone interested in ordering a G63

I ordered Red Calipers,got Silver.
Ordered Silver AMG wheels,got Black (even better,dealer thought they were not available)
Ordered Carbon Fiber trim,got it..
My wife loves it....

I cannot believe why MB seems to disregard our market in regards to his truck.
Let's not forget the G65 isn't even offered in our market.
Overall a big disappointment

I am glad to see the G63s already came in. I am in Canada, ordered G550 back in early May and still not here yet. There is a lot of confusion with options with the G wagon. Initially I wanted red designo interior and was told not available. When they froze the vehicle, it became available as an option. Initially wanted wood trim but was than told its already built with Piano Lacquer.
The main reason for this is the G wagon is made in Austria under contract, not in a MB plant. Also was told G wagon does more military/law enforcement contracts than to care about the civilian market. MB Canada doesnt care about selling the G, the configurator is not even available to build it.
