G63 hood/door open warning not showing up?

Don't these trucks let you know when a door is open or something? Sometimes people don't close the doors hard enough and I have the run around the truck and see which it is. I think the CLS63 does this....

The G55 certainly does this but it doesn't register until you put the in gear. I've mastered the sound of the proper clunk and can tell the door hasn't closed on sound alone.

One of the amusing things that happens to me on occasion is the humbling effect of the "too soft close" that I still do from time to time. There is a brief moment from when the door leaves my hand that I know I didn't push it hard enough. Kills me every time. Even worse when I think I pushed it fine and it doesn't shut completely.

for the front & rear passenger doors, you could take a peek through the side mirrors to look at the lines above the door handles,if the lines break then that door is not properly closed. that's what i do with mine.

back door will rattle if not closed tight

Did you ever figure this out?

Also, random G63 question here: Do the side mirrors angle down when you put the car in reverse?

Doesn't work with the driver's door regardless of if the car is in gear, on/off, etc.

Can anyone verify if this happens/works in your G63? I cannot get it to happen at all no matter what I try.
