My '13 G63
Just picked up our new G63 this weekend.
A couple months ago, my wife dropped into the local MB dealer to inquire about a GL. At this time the manager told my wife to let me know they had a G63 on its way and the buyer backed out. My wife mentioned this to me and wondered why he would suggest this car and why he thought I would be interested, lol.
Since the car was already locked in, I could not change the color. Luckily, it was the one I wanted.
My only point of reference was my '03 G500 which I was(am) still damn happy with as-is. However, the G63 is a whole new level of awesomeness. Better ride, steering, comfort, gadgets and almost 2x the power.
Here's a pic of my '03 and '13 side by side.

Thanks, guys. It's been fun the first few days. Nothing out there compares to this car. Of all vehicles on the market, this is the one that truly feels like a late 60s/early 70's muscle car with the (admittedly) numb steering, wallowy handling, tons of power and awesome V8 soundtrack. It just also happens to be one of the most capable off-road platforms in existence. Completely unapologetic, which is one of the biggest parts of its charm.
I only have 200 miles on it, so the break-in has been a little frustrating as I am dying to unleash the full force of it. The good thing is it makes torque like a super strong diesel engine with no lag so there is plenty of power while limiting myself to the 4500 rpm break-in limit. The engine suits this vehicle perfectly. And the sound: Oh man, is it addicting!! Love this car!!

G550 and SL55 and Defender 90 and 1973 Bronco
I got mine on Friday after a five month wait. Black on Black with Carbon Fiber, diamond stitching pattern , heaters steering wheel, black rims and red calipers. Replaces my 09 G550. Also in the break in period which is VERY frustrating but I must say so far it's awesome!!
I can't wait to rev it up.
