Talking Renntech vs Kleemann

Which company does this better? Planning to add one or the other on my G63 soon.

Kleemann promises 690hp and 950nm ( can this be true? )
http://www.kleemann.dk/Performance/Engines/63AMGBT_M157

Renntech promises 635hp and 620nm
http://www.renntechmercedes.de/www/node/1049

So which one is the better? I have never tried anything like this before and would like best results. Renntech also seems a bit more expensive for less the performance. ( I see some other threads where Renntech previously had higher prower, but lessened that apparently?)

Thanks

Back in 2005 had Kleemann headers in G55 (and other things).
Went through 2 sets (both cracked at less then 10k miles) before giving up and installing original set back again.
Had also problems with Kleemann LSD in my 2006 SL65.
Since then I decided to stick with Renntech, pricier maybe but more reliable and their numbers are real not wishful thinking as from other tuners.

Thanks. Im only doing the ECU tune, but maybe one thing leads to the other

I have a bit trouble finding a Renntech dealer. 850km to the closest in germany, else UK. Im located in Denmark. Is it possible to remove ECU by yourself and send it for modification?

Also will ECU mod break warranty? And will MB be able to notice, upon service or other?

I've been using Kleemann products since 2003. I've never had a single issue.

It's very hard to beat Kleemann after sales support. Top notch. For that alone I will keep going back to Kleemann. They stand behind their products.

As for removing ECU, you can do it yourself and send it in for tuning. I believe it does void the warranty unfortunately.

There is a member here with the Renntech tune who had great things to say about it. Although I believe they recently backed down their tune to a lower HP figure. Haven't investigated that one but if you speak to them it might be worth asking what / why they did change the reported values. Either they backed off the spec of the tune or were over-reporting the original estimates. Curious as to the true issue / situation.

Hi guys, I have the Renntech ECU (flashed Oct 2012). Not sure if they dialed back the tune or if in fact the numbers were off at product launch. I do know that the flash was the best $3500 bang-for-your-buck tune out there, IMO. I have a call into Renn and will report back.

I spoke with James at Renntech. He said they did dial back the tune but still have the former programming available for purchase. He cited the reason for the adjustment to the concern of too much power for the transmission to handle, when thrusting from a standstill. I tend to use my added gains when on the highway trying to scoot from 60mph to 90 if necessary, when passing priuses and other hybrids that like to go 50-60 mph in the "passing lane."

Thanks for the update. This is what I was assuming was the case.
