Huge panel gaps?

I know the g isn't for people with OCDs but holy panel gaps! After my bodyshop installed the body kit I noticed the gap between the front bumper and body is a finger wide! This gap isn't just from the side but rather all the around even in the front. I first thought maybe the bumper isn't put back correctly, then by looking at pictures on the Internet. Most g's have this huge gap. How does yours look? I have attached a picture here.

It's a 1960's vehicle design, they are all like that.

Perhaps 3dw or someone with the brabus can chime in, see attached pic, the gap in between the rear door and the bumper is quite big, you can actually see the running wire. Is this normal?

There is a gap there but maybe that wire should be covered and relocated, the factory wiring is all in a black wiring loom and fabric tape and running along the frame rails to the bumper, you shouldn't see a red wire there. Must be from something Brabus added. Ask them to tie it up properly.

Yes that wire is routed to the bumper lights, will ask them to make it neater...

Your previous post states the work was done by Final Touch, you should see if the followed the instructions. Mine was done thru 3wd over at Brabus in California and there are no wires visible but the gap is as big as yours which is like the gap we had with the OEM bumper.

Thanks Hubert. Will ask installer to clean up the wires.

No, mine is white and it fits tight, only the sides that meet the rear fenders are a bit of an odd fit because they are made to match with the widestar fenders, but that rear bumper is def loose. The front bumper looks normal to me.

Hello Jyupitt,

The gap on the front and rear looks normal from the angles. The rear wiring shouldn't be exposed like that. Go back to your body shop and have them take a look at it. Also your rear LED lights on on the wrong side...=) Red one insides, clear one outside. Look at Hubert's taillights, that's how they are meant to be. =)

Please let us know if you have any more questions. Thank you!!

Thanks! The led location is by choice, reverse lights on the the outside seemed odd to me.

the gap is pretty bad on this car. Definitely get the wire tucked away neatly. What body kit? Any full car pictures?

[edit] nvm found it in the other thread. looks badass. I think i might have seen it once in nyc possibly
