G Cargo Box - where to find?
I've been trying to find the cargo box shown in the picture for my 2015 G with no luck (it's on the passenger side). Has anyone seen this? Does anyone know where I can order it from?

Good eye. I did a little reverse image searching to figure out that is a pic from the official MB 4x42 launch. A little further digging turned up this image so it looks likt this is either a one-off or something that is part of the 4x4 package but either way its in the launch vehicle. Perhaps they will show up on the newly released 4x4s and can be ordered/retrofitted.

Thank you very much! At least I know I'm not crazy now - trying to find something that doesn't exist.
I'm hoping it'll be something that can be ordered and retrofitted. I'll ping the dealer parts department this Summer to see if anything shows up. I think that should allow enough time for the 4x42's to start hitting the ground pretty good and get on the books.

Was a fun exercise. :-) It looks to be more of an elaborate shelf setup / cover for the rear wheel hub. If you take the pic and adjust the lighting you can see this is a more like a custom fabricated / powder coated steel shelf with two cutouts and 4 fabricated wings. 3 wings sit inside the grooves of the case to keep it in place. And the fourth looks to be just a storage area to keep things from flying off.
I also noticed the 4x42 has those super bright LEDs installed by the grab handles (you can see in the above pic) but I assume this is to help make the interior more visible for the show only and not part of the 4x42 interior.

Great information. Thank you!
After finding out it was in the 4x42, I looked at several European reviews and saw it's a stock item. I'll find the link in a bit and post, so you can see it.
I hope it'll be something that can be ordered from MB. I know they're restricting the portal axels by VIN. Hope this doesn't fall into the same category!

PS BTW, I like the led's. I'm just concerned about doing any electrical modifications to it. After learning each wiring harness is custom to each vehicle (hand done - almost like everything else), I'm hesitant to do anything not MB OEM or specific on the vehicle. I'm reluctant to add any options. Unlike most cars with a generic system that can be 'plug and play' for adding, G's aren't. Figure it's best enough to leave well enough alone, if that makes sense.
