I got mine at MSRP after waiting 2 years to get on an allocation as a first time G buyer in SW Florida. They only give allocations to locals though as they have a huge demand. Other dealers that offered me MSRP were in PA but again another 2-3 year wait. Other dealers had the same 50K markup to get one.
If I were to try to buy a new one today, the 25k markup one you heard isnt a bad deal versus waiting years plus future price increases. Also you can offer on purchase day to put in a deposit to get on the list for another allocation in the future at MSRP, then when the next model is released you will be one of the first to aquire it with no markup.
Hi @James Cole -- Realize this is a really belated reply but noticed this thread was recently bumped up so wanted to comment.
Totally agree with @SLS here; it does take a concerted effort, though know there are dealers out there that will sell G63s for MSRP, particularly custom builds. One needs luck and patience as there is bound to be a wait at most dealers for a build slot / allocation to become available -- that said, with a sufficiently broad search, am confident you will find a dealer willing to work with you.
Not certain in which part of the U.S. you are located, but if you are interested in working with a dealer in the Pacific Northwest, feel free to PM me and I would be happy to provide a handful of dealers from my earlier searches whose policy is to sell custom orders at MSRP or who are willing to negotiate considerably on dealer markup. Best of luck to you!

I’m interested. The last one I purchased was from California and I had it shipped to Texas. So Pacific Northwest is fine. The dealer I was working with was never able to provide me with an allocation.

Hi @SLS -- Just sent you a PM. Please feel free to reply to that if you have any questions.
Hi @powershot24, I’m located in California and I’m desperately looking for a dealer who can offer custom 25 G63 build at MSRP. Can you PM me with your dealer resources? Much appreciated!!
Hi @rearseatdelete -- Just tried to send you a PM and received an error indicating “rearseatdelete has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.”
Once you have a sufficient number of posts and are able to receive PMs, feel free to message me directly and I would be happy to send over some details.

Checking to see if anyone has had recent luck. I am in Chicago and have found a 2026 with a <10k markup and good offer on my trade in. But of course would love to get to MSRP. @powershot24 i am new so dont have enough posts to DM you, but do you think its possible for a landed 2026 to get at MSRP?

10k markup. thats actually a good deal..and you get to build your own or whatever it was spec'd with?

I closed the deal today. It was a 2026 that was landed. I liked the entire spec excepting missing the active suspension. I will say day one I am not missing it much. But the deal is I can now order one for MSRP. It’s a local dealer who did end up giving me $4k more for my trade than the next highest offer. So the final wash ended up being $3.6k over MSRP when all done. I have bought a lot of other cars and man, the G63 market is rough to get into without a relationship.
i hate that they put a bow on it. It wasn’t free

Congratulations on your new G, @TheDrivenGarage! This reply is belated; work has been crazy lately. Very happy for you that you were able to get a good price for your trade and found a spec that you really liked. Your G63 is beautiful and hope you have a blast driving it.
Roughly 15 months ago I contacted multiple dealers and found three here in the Pacific Northwest which either had a policy of selling custom orders at MSRP or were willing to waive the markup after negotiating. All three involved a wait for an allocation to become available, two of which were pretty substantial.
Given the price increase for 2026 and overall economy, I do think it is possible in most markets to achieve MSRP or close to it with some calling around or emailing, plus a bit of patience and luck. Certainly realize there are some areas like Southern California where that will be quite difficult, though, unless one is a VIP at a dealer.

Hi, do you mind sharing what Chicago dealer you worked with for MSRP?
C230 Sport Coup + 2006 W164 ML350 + 99 Ford Escort RIP
Does Mercedes still offer the pick it up in Germany program? Back in the day, you could get a 10% discount off MSRP if you 1st flew to Germany, and then they shipped it to you. Or is it even offered on G's considering they are typically built by Magna Steyr in Austria and not Mercedes directly.
That would be a substantial discount on a G63 and more than pay for the trip. Whats the MSRP anyway?
Side note, I was at the Walnut Creek CA dealership in May of 2025 and they had a whole a whole showrroom full of new
G wagons. Not idea on markups.

Sorry I'm new here just started first chat. I was just curious, did you end up buying one at MSRP? I have talked to some people that were able to get it at MSRP, but they usually had prior history with that dealership.
To anyone who has purchased any of the G-wagons recently, or perhaps anyone who works in sales at a dealership; are these lead times and amv markups what I should expect across the board from any given dealership? Is this the typical market environment for a custom spec'd current model year G63, and has this been consistent for a while (are markups getting higher or lower, are lead times getting longer or shorter)? Is it completely futile to try to negotiate a dealership off of their markup, or are they generally amenable to lowering, If you are willing to put yourself at the bottom of the waitlist and wait for an allocation slot from sometime next year to become available, would you still be facing the same markup? Are there any specific dealerships in the continental U.S. that have a good reputation for not charging a markup; somewhere that will just let you order what you want, pay MSRP, and call it a day?
Haven't purchased a merc before and have yet to go to a dealership. Would like to know more about how bad it's going to be to do business with them before I take the time to go and meet someone.

Only Porsche offers European deliver now. Mercedes Benz and BMW stopped. It’s the only way to buy a car, if they ever offer it again in the future.
Hi @Nick_MB_Agent -- Not sure to whom your question was directed. We bought our 2025 G63 at MSRP -- the dealer we worked with has a policy of providing custom orders at MSRP, at least for local customers.
We did have a fairly long service relationship with this dealer but had not purchased a vehicle from them previously. There was a wait involved for a build slot to become available, although the dealer was great about keeping us informed throughout.
Certainly realize our experience was probably not typical and we feel very fortunate that it worked out the way it did.
Hello @WJ1 -- Great questions! Anecdotally from friends and other forum posts, it does seem like markups are not quite as high as they were in the second half of 2024 and early 2025 when the revised 2025 Gs were first available to spec and order. The increase in MSRP was minimal between 2024 and 2025 but steeper for the 2026 G63, plus the number of changes for 2026 is fairly small. Totally unscientific but I feel these are factors in why the markups are less steep now vs. 12-18 months ago.
Not sure which part of the U.S. you are in, but I would recommend calling around in your state and perhaps a couple of neighboring states to see what markup they are currently charging and if any dealers have a policy of selling custom orders at MSRP. Will send you a PM shortly with three dealers from my search in summer 2024 in case the info. is helpful.
