I usually cruise at about 80 MPH with 4-5 bursts over 120 MPH on each trip to work and back.

the 320 should be able to handle way more than 80. My c230 will do 120 no problem. Of course its not as fast getting to 120 as some of the other Mercedes but hey, it does it!

on my trip to toronto, i averaged 69.9mph and 70mph on the way back... but that includes some local traffic, gas/food stop, etc so probably a little faster.

btw, the trip computer is evil. it was pressuring me to go faster b/c i could see it change slightly... i just wanted/had to break the 71 mph mark but i didn't make it.

65mph
I don't go over the speed limit. I got my first speed ticket this summer and attended traffic school which made me gun shy with speed. Going over 20mph over the speed limit classifies you for reckless endangerment, for which a cop can take away your driver's license on the spot. No thanks!

In Atlanta, everyone drives at 75-80 mph. I normally go with the flow. I would like to continue to pay less for car insurance than what my brother does for his 99 Civic (I have a 2000 CLK320 ). I still have to reach top speed. There is a place on I-20, which I have dying to rip up, but every time I am in that part of town there is way too much traffic.

Actually, most traffic in LA freeways is over the legal speed limit. Technically, though, a cop can pull any one of those cars over for speeding --- even all of them if he could. It's easy pickings, and he can easily fill his ticket quota just by cruising on the freeways.

I'm sure with his choice of cars to pull over, the cop's selection isn't completely random. So what comes to mind? Cars that stand out: bright red sports cars, fast-looking sports cars, etc.

SPEEDING
I WILL TAKE THE 5TH ON THAT QUESTION

Because the LAST speeding TICKET was speeding, reckless, failure to yield, speed contest, and evaiding the chp lost my drivers
license, car impounded, lawyer, went to JAIL no i did not get two
hundred dollars.....but cost me way over5k and had to sell the porsche cause I CANT DRIVE 55

Holy smokes! That's some rough punishment there, Mark!

That stuff scares me! I mean it doesn't take much. My SLK32 is way fast, and it's easy in a few seconds of madness to just let it all hang out and push pedal to the metal on the freeway.

You can feel the SLK32's fast acceleration if you're at a dead stop in the stoplight and it turns green. Without even being conscious of it, you leave everybody behind with no effort.
