Cost for new key?

Cost for new key?
I have an 02 CLK55 and I would like to buy an extra key. Does anyone know how much it costs to replace the key? Its the laser encoded one so I am just plain afraid

Mine was $150 for my C-Class. It should be close to the same price. I got 2 for the price of 1 with mine, as they ordered 2 by mistake and gave me a freebie.

Even if you are still on warranty they will not just give you an extra key (or at least my dealership did not). You have to pay for extra keys. Now if your key is broken then that is probably a different story.

Not sure if its accurate but heard that the dealer can only replace the keys a certain amount of times before something in the car has to be replaced.
