I am signing off for a LONG time...
Yes it sucks, but what can I say? The parents won't let me get one! Why? Not because of the name or anything like that, one and only one fact, it's rear wheel drive. Therefore, I will probably be stuck with one of the most freakishly boring cars in existence (reliable, but boring, none-the-less); a 1991 Toyota Camry
Oh well, what can I say? Therefore I shall be signing off for an extremely long time, I apologize for the inconvenience.
edit: please see this thread and if you can, answer some questions on this particular car: https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...79#post1212979 it truly is my last chance of owning a Benz (until later).

However, in states like Ohio, Michigan, N. and S. Dakota, states that have bad winters, front wheel drive or all/4 wheel drive is the best. Rear wheel drive just doesn't do well in the snow...unfortunately.
I grew up where the winters are long, and the snow is deep. We all drove rear wheel drive cars. Once you learn how to drive them, there's no problem.

The scariest experience I ever had was in a C280 approaching an intersection and losing traction (almost got t-boned as a result), and 48-wheel drive would not have improved that situation.

Anyway, whatever kind of vehicle you do get, just be cautious in the snow and you'll be fine.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Your parents won't let you get snow tires??
It doesn't matter what wheel drive your car is, all that matters are the tires. Good tires = no problems. Also, especially in bad conditions rwd is way more predictable, you know exactly where the car is going to go, FWD sucks.
