No, i'm not gay. I like his music and i like the 3 series vert. That doesn't make me gay. I'll drive around for everyone to see because i don't have any doubts as to whether i'm gay or not. It's stupid IMO to make the assumption about someone's sexual preference based on just that.

I'm not trying to start anything but 9 times out of 10 that someone tells you your gay you usually wouldn't assume that they are joking. What movie are you referring to?

More on topic (since I skipped from page 1 to page 5):
So, how do you young drivers afford your cars? I'm not disrespecting, I'm just curious. As a (kind of) young owner, I bought four years used and paid cash because I live light and save up. However, I still give an odd look at "shady" young people driving AMGs and S-classes. How DO they afford them?
I get a bunch of crap from people of all ages; subtly though. I avoid telling as many people as possible about my car. When asked, I say "I drive a used station wagon." I am thankfully ignored immediately.
On weekends, if I need to run to the hardware store or something, I enjoy being noticed stepping out of my benz in paint splattered pants and a torn work shirt. I'm not going to dress up to fit the part, I'm just being myself.

I get a limited choice of cars and have to pick one, my parents number one issue is safety. So I basically have only had the choice between a BMW or a Mercedes. I can list a ton of cars that are half the price of mine that I would rather have but my parents always say "No its a death trap or its too dangerous".
I end up paying for it in one respect I am given a certain amount of money each year to pay for college and any left over I can spend and since I go to a a relatively cheap school that only cost $16k a year I have a lot more left over than my brothers who went to $40k a year schools. But then again food and clothing get subtracted out of my yearly "allowance" and right now I am saving up for a condo or a house.

It really isn't a big deal. Perhaps you guys deserve the dirty looks for looking and acting sooooo hard. Some of you even try to MAKE yourself humble by saying, 'Oh, I drive a Corolla' .... yeah, whatever! Why do you feel the need to say that?
I've had people say nice car, or look, but it's not serious. They could be looking and saying, 'my sister has that car', 'should we get our son that?', 'I don't really like those Mercedes models'. So, I really pay no mind. If someone asks what car I drive, I say, Mercedes-Benz C-Class. I don't PRETEND to be humble, I am humble and my appearance while driving or while saying I drive the Mercedes all demonstrates that.
I mean, most people just don't care. They'd care if you were driving a Lambo or Ferrari, or Aston Martin. And I know kids who drive those cars, now that's impressive. Shoot, you can have a CLS63 AMG and live in the projects! But you won't have a Mercedes SLR and live in the ghetto.
So in all, I'd be more impressed seeing a young guy owning a nice home (apartment), not a car he's sacrificing 80% of his income on!

Some people think the car makes the man. Others think possesions make you a man. This is not directed at anyone in paticular. A few of my friends think that if they have this car or that car girls will notice them more at the bar. I tell that even if a girl were to notice would she remeber seeing you and your car in the morning. Chances are a majority of people at the club are somewhat tipsy or impaired.

If you really need a car to get a girl thats just said and you will end up with a crappy girl who is shallow and is only after you for the money. I know that type of girl and thankfully I am smart enough to spot them and I mess around with them and have my fun then they are gone..

It dont matter. Most girls cant tell a C230 from an S class.. I have gotten with more girls with my 328i than my old M3. So that just puts the old the more expensive car gets you more noticed. I take that back it does get you more noticed but not by girls but by guys.
