The next new creation in the Mercedes fleet
So what do you think is going to be the next production for Mercedes? I have been hearing rumors about Mercedes Motorcycles. Since BMW has a whole motorcycle division, I hear that Mercedes is getting into that.

Minivans, possibly?
I recall reading that somewhere, but haven't followed up on the veracity of it.
I'd love to replace my Grand Voyager with a Mercedes minivan!

Thanks, accord. I should have been more specific.
I sure would like to have a Mercedes minivan to round out my current Mercedes set.

The next new creation in the Mercedes fleet
We have a Windstar van that we would like to replace next year with a M-B, most likely a ML320. We would much rather have a van from M-B though... our Windstar has alot more interior room than the ML320 but we like the safety, performance and prestige of M-B's.

I just read on autoweek.com that Mercedes-Benz is going to bring it's Sprinter full-size van to the US within a few years. They're going to be sold by selected Dodge dealers under the Freightliner name. MB doesn't want to tarnish it's prestigious US image by putting it's name on a van, but it will be a full-fledged US version of the Sprinter van, available in cargo and passenger versions.

I applaud Mercedes-Benz for bringing the Sprinter van to the United States, however I see some issues with it already.
1. It looks to me as if it's too tall to fit in most families' garages, so I don't see it replacing American full-size vans anytime in the future, unless they decide to import the smaller V-class as well.
2. I think Mercedes is going to have a tough time convincing businesses to consider a 5-cylinder turbodiesel powered van when they are already used to their Chevy Express vans with massive 7.4L and 8.1L V8 engines, and Ford Econoline vans with 7.5 V8's and 6.8 V10's. The Sprinter will at first impression look like a major step backwards to most fleet managers.
3. Who is going to service these? The Dodge dealers that supposedly will sell them? Freightliner dealers that have no experience with Mercedes-Benz engines? Mercedes-Benz automobile retailers?? (God forbid! I don't want to start working on ratty cargo vans with 350,000 miles on them)
