Cheap cosmetic mods: opinion?

I spotted a chrome trunklid piece on ebay that looks interesting for an E. It is the piece right above the license plate area...the 2-foot wide strip. Do you think this would look cheesy?

Also, how about a chrome shift ***?

I have the chrome trunk handle, it actually is pretty good, although I never used it so I took it off of my S500.

How about a big "Type R" sticker on the back?

And an old 2-liter soda bottle glued to the roof pillar with a garden hose sticking out of it and a NOS sticker on the side?

I have one. It is by far the best $19.00 I have ever spent. I put it on my car and it is barely noticible. I also have a chrome tag frame. On a black car, using this will reduce fingerprints/scratching on the trunk.

I have the $20 stainless MB trunklid handle, which mounts under the license plate frame. I use it ALL the time.

Forget about a metal gear shift handle. I put one on my vette -- it burned my hand!

Well, I got the chrome gearshift "ring" and it looks ok, though absurdly priced at $30. Should be $5.

I also got the chrome trunk piece, but it's the wrong size, so no pics until I get a replacement.

I have one off these too! This should have been standard on the car.

I was wondering...

The chrome piece I got for the trunk measured about 28", however the length of the area to which it goes is only about 21".

The photo on the box shows a Euro license plate. Are there any E-class owners from Europe here who can measure that strip that holds the license lights?

I think the knucklehead from ebay doesn't know the difference.
