Michigan finally gets a new license plate!
One of my very favorite things about living in California was the license plate. And then, when I moved back, it was back to the plain ugly blue plate. So, finally they are changing it as of 1/1/07 to a new white design!!
This post probably won't make any sense to anyone who doesn't live here, but a lot of people have hated the drab, old blue plate. I am really happy to get something a little brighter.

Of course! I only know because that's what my renewal notice said...
Instead of mailing it in I'm thinking of just going to the office to get the plate today. Of course that's only because I live in MI. I would never go into a DMV office in CA unless I HAD to....

Well, I just got back from the Secretary of State and yes, you do get a new plate in a 3 letter 4 number format with a space in the middle. It looks pretty good!

I read an article on the new plate, and they said it might take several years before just about every single old blue plate gets replaced.
Did they ever say if they were going to replace this plate (soon)? Personally, this is my favorite design.

That's great to hear! Looks like we'll be on our way to get a new plate soon, I hate the current plate number we have (not the one on the ML). Don't ask.

i've lost count
usually they just swap them out when people buy new cars.
in my family, we have a car with those old black and yellow cali plates, and another with the old blue and gold cali plates.
