Did you mount your spare tire? Is the spare a steel rim and are your four other rims alloy? 3 out of 5 gone....that must have been spooky to discover! Where are you located...no dealers around you?

IF you do indeed mount your STEEL spare wheel, you CANNOT use the same lug bolts you use with the alloy wheels.
Somewhere in your tool kit are 5 shorter lug bolts to be used with the steel spare wheel. This is covered in your owners manual and there could be a warning sticker on your spare wheel containing similar instructions.
No trouble at all to go to dealer for new lug bolts.

The only MB I've ever owned that called for 150 nm is the GL.
The W123, W124, and W210 all required 110 nm (80 ft lb).
The W211 requires 130 nm (96 ft lb).
Never had an S-class, which must be what you've had.

Yep, different models seem to take different torques. It's always good to check the book. But I still bet the original problem here is that someone forgot to torque at all.
