Everyone should post their history with Mercedes:



Here is my families history with Mercedes:

1981 - 240D
1985 - 300D Turbo
1989 - 260E
1990 - 300E
1991 - 300D
1993 - 300D
1995 - C280
1998 - SLK230 Kompressor
1999 - C280
2002 - C320
2003 - C230 Kompressor

I was born in late 1980.
All are/were parents cars except both Kompressors.

5000 kms and no problems, only love so far, I'm 23 and hopefully this'll be a long relationship with MB, maybe one day a SL55...

Throughout the family are quite a few Benzes...I have an older one, a 1973 280 sedan, hearing aid beige on orangish-tan interior. Mint condition, it's got just under 70k miles on it. Other Mercs in the fam are/were

1985 300SD (totaled, aunt's car)
1999 S500 (in service, replaced 300, aunt's car)
1979 6.9 (in service, uncle's car hopefully mine soon)
1956 300SL (in service, uncle's car)
1962 230SL (long gone, uncle's car)
2001 S600 (in service, uncle's car)
2003 SL500 (in negotiations, maybe aunt's car)

Its a good start for a person who bought it at age 18!!

My C230K is my first MB - but my family had pretty much everything from a C180 (1958 or so?), 200, 230E, 280E, 300SE and I think a 280 3.5L SEL or so, in the 70s.
