What made you pick Mercedes?
Why did you decide to get one?
For me, these three commercials in particular made me go "Man, I gotta get a Benz"

Shows how much history Mercedes really has, and how when you drive a Mercedes, youre driving somethin that really does have soul to it, really is "unlike any other". So I got an '88 300E, and in just 2 days of owning it, I have felt more connected to it than any other car Ive had. In regards to the "Reincarnation" commercial, what are some of the best experiences you and your Benz have had?

Well, I like em because they're built great and make you feel awesome just driving one around. I don't get that feeling from any domestic or other import.

I wanted something different and it had to be faster than my partner's Cadillac STS-V.
Truly amazing how nice these cars are...my first European car and definitely not my last.

1) I wanted to think I am a bad as* having a "Benz"
2) Having the feeling that no one in the world have a "Benz" when I'm in it.
3) Every time I lose a race I say to myself at lest I have a "Benz"
4) At the car wash, I like to make sure everyone sees me get in my "Benz"
5) On dates...when there isnt anything to talk about, I just bring up my "Benz"
6) When I get out of my "Benz" I like to walk backward.
7) I Like saying "Benz" on the forums

Found a well-engineering roadster with a phenomenal motor and a good blend of safety and highway power. I could care less about brand-image, and appreciate an automobile for what it is. The R129 is quite enjoyable, and has enough grunt to blast away the majority of traffic I encounter, although nothing compared to some of the sledgehammers on this forum. I consider it an usable exotic, and a good overall value as a "fun" car.
In retrospect, I would have either gone with a 500 (rarely have the opportunity to uncork all twelve pistons to their fullest extent) or something smaller and lighter. I respect Mercedes Benz for the engineering that goes into every one of their motors, although am a bit disappointed with the damage Chrysler's influence wreaked on them.

Am a sucker for torque and the old salesguy gave no pressure, no sales pitch, spoke very nicely. a compact sedan, anonymous looking with lots of power.
in retrospect, should have gotten a ML 4-matic instead, about the same power, better usability and space.
