Just joined MBWorld...!
Long time motorsports fan and participant. Use to rebuild and race vintage cars. I have also race Supermoto motorcycles and tracked sportbikes since the 80's.
My wife and I own an 04 C230 and a 2007 Nissan Sentra Spec-V. I also own a 2006 Yamaha R6, 2004 Yamaha WR450 Supermoto/Enduro and a 1979 Vespa P200e.
The reason I joined MBW is because I plan on selling the Nissan and picking up a used AMG as our family car. (just had our third baby)
I work in Logistics Management. I do alot of work with automotive and motorcycle aftermarket manufacturers. Member of SEMA for many years. (hit me up if you are a manufacturer looking for a good logistics source)

I am a avid participant of a few internet forum groups. I look to find a home here at MBW. I hope to get myself an AMG shortly. Then its gonna get wacky!

I dont want to sacrifice too much MPG's but I am willing for the right car with the right purpose. Make sense? I had a Y2K E39 M5 which I sold last year for real estate reasons. Wouldn't mind another one but I try not to repeat my history.
I will start a new thread to keep it on topic.

Here is a car that I rebuilt and ran. It is a 1967.5 Datsun SRL311.
It was also known in the US as a Fairlady 2000. But in Japan... SR311. (SRL in the US 'cause it was a left hand drive) It was a 1900lbs and 160hp. Top speed was appx 150. Mine was matching numbers and had all of the original NISMO parts from the 60's. Back then you caould buy the parts and they would install it for you. In '68 they would sell it to you and you install it. Emissions laws.
I kept it original except for the interior which changed from black to red. I miss that damn car! But life goes on.
I sold her for 18k. Bought a super low mileage Porsche 911 Cabriolet Carrera. Did my suspension magic and some choice bolt-on parts. What an *** awesome car. Nothing like a Porsche!

Now I got an AMG. I love it! Perfect blend of performance, appeal and utility. (I do alot of work with SEMA manufacturers so it helps to have a nice ride)

Looking forward to some great times with the C32.
Miguel
