They probably crash test the S and CL more than any other car out there. As for sharing Pics or a link I am too lazy. Sorry.

Ahhh! Now if insurance companies or the government was wanting to crash test the S and CL.... our insurance premiums would be much higher.

Not cost effective to spend $500,000 destroying 5 , S500's. Say that 5 times.

Nick--

As for Mercedes itself they crash the hell out of their own cars.

Dan if you happen to read this....I received a call from a Nice English woman from Bently today asking if I wanted to view the new "whatever" they are coming out with. Let me know if you receive a call.

Me??? I got calls from the Jag dealer about the Continental some time ago, but passed on it. I haven't had a viewing opportunity, however. What did she say to you?

Dan,

If you recived an information packet about the Bently Continental they should soon follow up with a call to find out if you would like to view/drive the thing. She even offerd me a tour of their factory if I were to be in London for business or travel.

I definitely want an S500 with an orange exterior and a green interior. :p

Anyone else find it funny that there's nicer wheels on the wrecking machine than there are on the S500 itself?

It's rock solid! If you took a Hyundai, Honda, or dare I say, BMW, the results would be nowhere as good as in the S.

Just FYI, although i am surprised no one has mentioned this yet but no car and i mean NO car is sold in the US without meeting crash regulations of the Feds.
How do they do this? By crashing the cars... :p

Here's a link to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

http://www.hwysafety.org/vehicle_rat...html/00033.htm

The above link is for the 2001-03 C Class. There is another link for the E Class 2000-02 models.
