Tint shops in Northern VA/DC
Looking to find a really good tint shop in the Northern Virginia/Washington DC area. I'd like to get my 07 CLS 550 windows done. Appreciate any recommendations or places to avoid. Thanks!

I am also looking to get my windows tinted. I have narrowed my search down to the following companies, but am looking for any other recommendations, or who to stay away from.

Research for NOVA tint shop continues...
Here's what I've found out so far:
- LA Tint responded to an e-mail; they claim to have done a number of CLSs, but don't use moleskin felt.
- TNT has not responde to an e-mail, and I've read terrible reviews of their work, and can't even find a listing for them with the BBB.
- Skyline Tint www.skylinetint.com just responded to an e-mail and they too claim to have done "a lot" oc CLSs; they can do moleskin felt upon request for an additional $120 (have to take door panels off), but claim they haven't had much trouble with scratched tint.
- Sonic Sound also responded, but they're scared of MBs.
Probably going to stop by LA and Skyline this weekend to check out their work. Yes, I completely realize I'm being ****.

Well, after several weeks of "interviewing" various tint shops in the local area I decided upon Skyline Tint on Fullerton Road in Springfield. They were the only ones that even knew what moleskin was and were able to convince me that had done MBs before. Overall I'd rate them a "B", as I had to go back due to the door panels not being reinstalled correctly. The tint itself looks great. Nice clean job, no really noticeable dirt under the tint and no bubbles/etc. Paul, the owner is straight forward and professional. No problems fixing the door panels. I would have rated them an "A" if I didn't have to go back. I'll post some pictures once the rain stops...
I went with 35% all around. Price was $420 for Llumar ATX film, and installation of moleskin on all 4 doors ($25/door). Yes I know I could have ordered the moleskin from tintprotector and saved $75, but I didn't feel like messing with the door panels myself.

Here's a picture of the finished product.
Done by skylinetint.
35% all around.
Front looks a little lighter... Keeping sunroof shade open to give the illusion of being "legal" in VA. At night I adjusted ambient lighting to be a little brighter.

Looks good
$420 plus $100 for moleskin??
I would need to see it up close...I paid $200 (including windshield) for 20% all around the ML...show quality job. That was 1.5 years ago...not a single scratch, bubble, miscolor today.
Clean CLS BTW

JSIM000 - Are you still happy with the work that Skyline Tint did on your CLS? I'm considering the same on my 2006 CLS and just started the research. You may have saved me a ton of time if the product is still holding up after 4 years!
