Which one should i buy? CLK320 or C32 AMG?
hey guys. im new to this forum and also to the world of MB.
i'm purchasing a new ride (my first BM).. and i've narrowed my search down to CLK320 and C32 AMG.
CLK320: 2003, Brand spanking new, sunroof, cd changer
C32 AMG: 2002, used-has 10,000 miles (still looks brand new), has full option (navigation, xenon, cd changer, etc)
both cars are silver and the price is about the same (C32AMG is alittle bit higher, but not that much).
Which one should i buy? and why?

It all depends what your goals are.
One is a coupe one is a sedan.
c32 is an amg product and is ALOT faster than a clk320
I also think the clk looks better.
Have you considered getting a used clk 320 or 430 and add a supercharger to it? That way you could get the looks of a clk and the speed and power of a c32.

i'd take the C32.... love my clk ... but wouldn't let the AMG get away....

biased opinions
Unfortunatly, you are asking people who know and own MB's. Before I owned my MB a C32 looked like a C-class with a chrome exhaust and maybe a bit lower. I knew what AMG was but from the front, all C-class all look the same (C240/320/230 etc). But when I saw the CLK's for the first time, I knew that it was a unique and elegant MB. To this day I always notice a CLK (230/320/430) and admire the styling.
Some other issues to consider:
1. Insurance $$ (I don't care how afluent one is it adds up I'd rather spend it on mods).
2. If it is a convertable then it gets kinda feminine.
3. Comfort (CLK320 looks like a joy to ride).
4. Resale. If for some reason you have to sell early which will give you the best return on investment?
5. With the CLK320 you can buy AMG mods and make it look far better than the AMG32 and you will get more looks in it too.
6. Do you want speed or style? Only one gives you both.
It's up to you, but when I look for used cars I get a little uneasy when I see a sports car (C32) for sale because people who drive sports cars generally push the car to its limits. My uncle owned a Targa and he was in his late 60's. But he drove the car as if he was in Lemans.

are you talking about new clks?unique??? you call a cross between a acura CL and a Volvo C70 unique? there is nothing unique about the new CLK. its a plain average looking car. only some mods and in black exterior makes it look a little better.

The CLK is comfier, the C32 is the "driver's car."
There are no "AMG mods" (WTF?) for the CLK320 other than ordering rims or bodykit. Even with a CLK32K, a C32 spanks it.
Insurance on an AMG isn't anymore than it is for a CLK430.
A CLK320 is not fast....not even close....so you must be saying the C32 has speed and style.
Always choose the AMG.
