Baltimore VPC Processing time?

Baltimore VPC Processing time?
Hi, do you guys know if we can contact Baltimore VPC directly for a status update and how?
When I booked my car, the sales person told me it would be available for pick-up by 10/28, then 11/14, 11/18..now they are telling me it is still in Baltimore VPC. I am getting very worried. From W&W online tracking, it shows the vessel arrived at Baltimore on the 13th and my car was released and delivered to Mercedes VPC on the 14th. I have no idea when it will be released from VPC for trucking as my sales person keeps giving me wrong dates.
Also, this dealership does not want any deposit nor to sign on the buyer's agreement. Is this a normal practice for cars not-in-stock?

I don't believe that you can contact VPC directly and ask for an update. Of course you could try but I would expect them to tell you to contact your dealership. If they will talk to you, you would need a VIN or at least an order number.
Did you order this car before it was built or did the dealer locate a car that was already produced but unsold? First priority cars at VPC are sold orders. Last priority cars are the cars that are destined for general dealer inventory. If the car was a sold order, it will be first priority and should be through VPC within a week but that's not a guarantee. If the dealer happened to find an inventory order that matched what you wanted and the car was already on its way, I don't know that it would be upgraded to a sold order once it became spoken for. Maybe, but I don't know. Inventory cars can take several weeks to get through VPC because the higher priority cars go to the front of the line.
I have done several Mercedes factory orders and never signed anything or gave any deposit before the car arrived at the dealership. I have had a confirmation of the order and the agreed price, but nothing was required from me. In fact, I just picked up the most recent one this week. The ship arrived in Baltimore on the 13th (same day as yours; I wonder if our cars were on the same ship) and my car was delivered to the dealership on the 18th. I picked it up the same day.

My C300 arrived in port ( Baltimore) on the 2/7 and was released to the VPC on the 11th. We had the snowstorm this week. As of today my dealer tells me it has not been released to them. Any idea what the hold up is?

I am in the same boat as you. My GLK250 arrived on the Titania on 2/7 at Baltimore and I am patiently waiting for its arrival. I assume the snow here in the Northeast is holding up the delivery. I am in no rush and want it to get here to Long Island safely. Good luck in getting your new car soon.

As long as they process onetime at the VPC. My dealer originally told me about a week to 10 days after it was in port
Good luck, won't be long now

Hi, my coupe is on the water and is scheduled to arrive at the vpc in Baltimore on April 5. Any idea how long it will take to be delivered to my dealer in Chicago?
