CLS 55 Leaking oil!

Hello everyone. Have a 2006 CLS 55 that's been sitting in the garage for 3 months during the winter. Strarted it yesterday an pulled out. Noticed a large puddle of oil on the garage floor. Looked under car while running and was still leaking. Pulled it back in an shut it off. Been monitoring the leak and its a slow drip. Anyone have an idea what it could be?

With limited info to go by, I would say bad seal, o-ring or gasket causing your leak.

Thanks for the reply Vader. You think it could be coming from the oil pan with a bad seal or o-ring? Is that a expensive fix?

If you have the color of the oil and the location of the drip in relation to the vehicle would be helpful.

Color of the oil is maple syrup color and its in the back portion of the oil pan shield moving forward to the front of the shield.

The color of oil seems like it's the engine oil. With the location you stated would make it sounds like the rear main seal. You would have to get under the car preferably with a lift and remove the shield and inspect with flashlight to see exactly where the leak is coming from.

Thanks for the info. Do you think it could be due to not driving it for 3 months? It only has 30k miles on it and I just bought it from original owner who did not drive it in the winter either.

Leaving cars idle, can lead to seals drying out & leaking. Sounds more like you have a rear main let go, expensive fix as the engine has to come out.
