AMG Owners Club

There will have to be a quid-pro-quo though:
In return, you So. California AMG'ers have to introduce me to some movie stars (not the 'bigs' ... maybe just someone like Don Knotts ... or maybe even Charo! (as a young-lad, I just loved thinking about gettin' a little "coochie-coochie"

, we should think about starting our own. This would be a rather large undertaking and would require some upfront legal research. Drew, our resident lawyer has volunteered to help for some minor perks ..

Of course, it will be a sea of Brilliant Silver....
That sounds really good!! It'll be like the mbusa.com website where they have all the AMG cars lined up in the sea of Silver!!

The greatest advantage would be the exchange of info I would think. As an example, I periodically ask if anyone has done any dyno work with an aftermarket exhaust. It appears that no one has. There are no shortages of aftermarket exhausts out there for us to choose from, but no objective data to support the manufacturers claim that it will increase HP. May a US AMG Club could help.

Hi,
I just found this older thread. Did anything become of a U.S. Chapter of this organization?
Steve
The Euro guys asked, "Do you happen to know if anyone ever tried founding an AMG Owners Club in the US or what MBUSA's policy on Owners Clubs is in general?"
Anyone ever inquire about this ?
Good timing. I was just talking to the guys in the Euro chapter. They asked some questions that I need to get back to them on. Stay tuned.

I haven't heard any serious organized effort on this to date.
Also, I'm not sure of any official MBUSA policy, but the Gullwing Group, the 190SL Club and the M-100 Group apparently don't have any "problems" with corporate. In fact, corporate goes to members of these groups for photo shoots, commercials, etc. Definitely a win-win!
Could we become a "sanctioned" branch of the euro club?
Steve
Ronald (our webmaster and Forum-moderator) informed me bout your ongoing discussion about founding an AMG Owners Club US.
After more than one year of discussion with the AMG management, we have now received a final statement about the possible procedure of founding an AMG Owners Club US.
We discussed this topic within our board of directors for the last two weeks, and would like to offer our full support. In the past, we did the same with the AMG Owners Club Switzerland, Italy and Great Britain and created a very powerful cooperation.
Since we are only guests in this forum, we do not want to post all this extensive information here without the consent of the administrator(s) / moderator(s).
If you don't mind, we will post a full report tomorrow.
We firmly believe, that a great organisation of AMG-Owners worldwide could be created.
Best regards,
Toni
President of the
official AMG Owners Club
