a day at mercedes-benz (photostory)
last week i got a friends digi-cam and shot some pictures from the place where i work, Mercedes-Benz Hofmann in Paderborn (Germany)
there is nothing better to start a day then having a nice friend bringing u to work in a nice car. Her name is Concetta and she works for our local Porsche dealer, she lend out the boxter today.
here we have some pictures of our newest car, the CLK W209. i like it very much, u must see the interior :eek:
the 5litre V8 works great together with the CLK and its very popular (means sold alot) here
a photo from inside showing the Advangarde line with black/grey lether-dream, u must see it in real!

here two interior-pics, that shows the huge step form the old, well known E-Class to the new one. i like the light-blue glowing instruments very
some people here say the E quality and luxury came very close to the S-class now, i agree
my boss likes the old mercedes, he owns two really nice which i want to show you. a 300SEL 6.3 and a 300SL cabrio

Felix, thank you very much for posting the pictures. Those of us in the U.S. have yet to see the new CLK or E, and any pictures always spark interest.

2002 CLK 55 AMG Coupe ;)
Bedanke mich Felix.
You are in the most desirable work environment, - so much new technology giftwrapped and crafted in beautifully molded designs of steel.
Are there exiting roads nearby to enjoy driving the new MBs? Does the Teutoburger Wald have good and safe mountain roads, or is the region mainly for walking and recreation?
Herzliche Gruesse,
Karl

Hi Felix:
I remember as a kid we went to see the Hermanns Denkmal, commemorating the battle of Teutons against the Romans in 8 AD in the Teutoburger Forst.
In my mind it seemed like climbing Mt. Everest, -- I was bushed.
Glad that you are motor-cyling through this beautiful landscape.

Thanks a lot for great pics and write up Felix. The dealership looks big, since you have CLK 500, SL 55 and other cars I see on the pics. I guess it is one of the major ones?
What's your favourite colour scheme for the SL?

Felix, great pics!
Any chance you might want to do some "Covert Operations" for those of us curious on what MB has yet to unveil, hehe .

@Knight Raider
our dealership isnīt soo big compared to other ones in germany but we have a very good market-share for the region we are responsible. 19% of all new cars sold here are Mercedes-Benz.
at the moment we have TWO SL55 and two SL 500 in our showroom (all sold) the one SL55 is on the pictures i posted and a black one, also very nice! looks so evil, and u must hear the sound when u start the engine within the showroom....awsome, never heard a benz making such a crazy/powerfull sound.
@JamE55
hehe, of course i have her number but she has a b/f already....hmm
@Accord:
we await some nice news this year but no new model. we are getting four completely new 4-cylinder engines this summer C180, C200, C200 cgi (direct injektion) and C230 all motors have a kompressor and all have 1.8litre
later this year AMG is going to build the first diesel-AMG to put it into a C-Sportcoupé the "C 30 AMG CDI"
In europe the people are crazy about diesel engines

Hi Felix, two questions:
1. What is your territory?
Does it include all of Nordrhein-Westfalen, specifically Muenster/Duelmen?
2. Do new MB cars sold at your dealership meet US specifications: Emissions and safety?
TNX

Ei gude wie, Felix.
Der Christian hier. Ich bin in der Frankfurter gegend aufgewachsen und wohne jetzt in Beverly Hills. Sorry, had to intro in german.
Felix, do you know if MBUSA will honor the warranty on a SL55 imported from Germany and what's the waiting time if I order on from you?
BTW: What car do you drive?
Danke und mach's gut...

hi Christian:
itīs nice to talk to someone with german roots
i will ask in my company about the export to USA.
personally i drive a VW Passat, it wasnīt so expensive but will try to get a benz as next car.
how old were you when you moved to the USA, and what is your job there? maybe there will come the time for me to do the same..

Mensch, hab ich Heimweh...
Danke for the pics, Felix, alter Glueckspilz!
Yeah, the SL sounds awesome. Appeals to one's animal instincts.
I was right up against the fence at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve when those showoffs in the SL Safety Car opened up the throttle on that bad boy, only to be trumped by the two Ferraris and the two Jaguars (which sounded more impressive than the rest of the field, including the McLaren-Benz'es...)
Your post reminds me of the time I worked for a trade show designer (Messebau), and we had to set up the exhibit surrounding the presentation of the previous SL class at the Mercedes-Benz Diplomat Sales outlet in Bonn. They DROVE the old Silberpfeile off the trucks and into the showroom.
Talk about the sound of music with these awesome supercharged engines!!! The SL was pretty cool, too. Boy, that must have been about, what, 12-13 years ago?!?
Viele Gruesse aus New York!
