Bi-Xenon Lights worth it?
I haven't yet ordered my car, but am wondering if i should get the Bi-xenon option on my SL Coupe. Does it make any difference driving in every day traffic, etc. For what it's worth, i probably won't be doing alot of driving on very dark, twisty roads. But if most think it's a good option, i will go for it. Thanks

I have them on both my vehicles. Recently I was driving a rental without xenons and thought my lights were not on because they seemed so dim. The xenons make a huge difference and I now wouldn't consider purchasing a vehicle without xenons.

Out Of Control!!
In my penny pinching mind, I cannot see the added value versus the cost. I've never been in a situation where I have wished I had xenen lights. I will admit though, there is probably some re-sale value.
With that in mind, I think I would go ahead and get them if I were purchasing an SL.

I can unreservedly say that the ones on my E are the best headlights I have ever seen, used, or owned on a car. For the first time in my life, I feel like I can see what's really out there.

They are needed. When I switch from driving any of our cars back to my LS400, I can immediately tell the difference, and what a difference it is. The xenons on any of our cars makes the entire world light up.

In my opinion, it's your money and it's up to you to make that choice. You've already got an '03 E320. I'm not sure if your plan is to trade it or what. My point being, if you are going to trade it in, and you are one to trade in cars when they are still fairly new then I would go with the Xenon. It will help keep your value up. Even if you are one to keep the car for long periods I still recommend them. They make a big difference. Are they worth the money? Is any option on any German car worth the money? No, but people are getting to a point where they expect to see things like Xenon on just about anything over 30K$ so I suggest you suck it up and buy them.
