Just wanted to drop by with pics. Thanks to everyone for the wheel help a while back. We just put on these Brabus Monoblock E today, along with 305/40/22 Pirellis (yes I wanted a large tire!). Other than that, no mods except what came loaded from the factory. We bought the car last September and love it.

Very, very nice and shiny, Mel. And, great pic too. Still I think you would have gotten more effect if you hitched one of those boats (in backgound) to GL

Hope you are bringing at least of those boats to LA.

Put the chrome hood fins on this morning. I like the look of them, but for $90 what a rip off. My bet is they cost about $10 to make (and that's being generous). Oh well, I guess in the end it's worth it...........

Most everything you buy these days is a rip off of one kind or another. But as you say they add a nice touch so enjoy...:-)

I have my dealer putting the fins, the door guards and rear mud flaps on mine before delivery. They will be looking at the new black bumper sill guard and seeing if they can install the chrome one for me. If not I just may stay with the black one.

I may do those, as well as the fins and skid plates - skid plates probably first. I'll save those for later...gives me something to do AFTER I get the GL.

I am thinking the same, boxboss. Probably will do door guards in the next week or so and then the fins. Decided to wait on running boards and skid plates till I decide if I want the 550 or not.

And how long have you had your 450? You didn't have to wait long enough for yours!

Nish, do you get your parts a your local dealer or online? I was going to order from MB of Eugene then my dealer agreed to match their prices (bumper plate and pedals.)

I will share the pain of waiting and will order my 550 But, yes, I will have a 450 to drive while I am waiting so my pain won't be as bad as some others. What can I do

I get my parts locally. Got 5 dealers in 20 miles from where I live so I just keep on driving till I find what I am looking for. If you need something and can't find it, lmk and I can buy and ship it for you.

Dirty!

Here's some shots after a round-robin test run to see if the turbo hose would continue to hold. Notice the nice door handle cups and chrome wheels.

I do think the last one - showing how much fuel I used to go 294 miles - is just about my favorite!

A member will be trying a DYI install on the PE boards shortly. He thinks (and I agree) that it should be a simple ~20 bolt install. Before you plunk down the big AD, see how his effort goes.

Okay on the Aussie location now. The 550 should be a rocket for an SUV...good luck with it.

Do you have pricing information on the 550? My dealer here in Colorado still doesn't have any information on specs or options for an August build. I've got my deposit in, but that is it at this point.
