Pulling to the right

As most of you know, I had my first problem with the GL last week, when the A/C panel just quit working. I picked up the vehicle from the dealer yesterday, and was disappointed to find that another problem I was having, namely pulling to the right, was still there, despite a 4 wheel alignment that was supposedly done. I'm told that the vehicle was "out of specs" and that it was right on the money after the alignment. Now, a $75,000 vehicle shouldn't need an alignment right out of the showroom, now should it? I'm wondering if any of you have noticed this in your GLs, as perhaps it could be from the tires causing "radial pull." I have to maintain a constant leftward pressure on the wheel, or it will drift into the right lane at any speed on any road. Please provide some feedback, as I'm beginning to regret my purchase.

GL450 Premier Edition
I've had the Premier Edition for 3 days now. Yesterday I did notice that the car seemed to pull to the right. I'm only at 400miles now, but once it gets to the 1K - 3K service I'll ask the dealer to take a look at it.

No problems after first 1,000 miles

I have 2,500 miles on my Premier and it did pull for about the first 1,000 miles but is fine now. Its a great car, my first MB.

Update

Well, folks, after two attempts at alignment, the truck runs straight. It's still puzzling to me how a brand new vehicle would need an alignment, but I suppose an occasional vehicle slips through the cracks of quality control. Everything else is still working up to specs. Keeping my fingers crossed that I don't find more issues. Happy driving

I am having that problem now....1200 miles. Its drifting to the right which is odd that others are having the same problem.

One with 4 wheels
I think practically every new MB does it.

Mine did it around 3000-4000miles, but now, at 12,000miles, it's gone.

Just wait it out.

I just saw your post in the "First Problem" thread and replied there, but now I'm reading that your first and second problem have been fixed! I hope that is the last time MB sees you for service, unless it is scheduled!

If that were/is the case then no wonder MB does so poorly in the surveys. I can't believe that they all do this, but I have noticed that once someone mentions a problem others seem to seek out the same thing and then poof they have it too! The reasons for this are all over the map.

Hey, everyone:

Just to let you know that once the alignment was corrected, there have been no more problems, and we're pushing 900 miles. I have officially turned over the car to my dad, for whom I bought it in the first place, so I'll see if he notices any new problems.
