![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Our '06 ML has auto leveling HID's and my new GL which arrived today didn't appear to have them. The reason I say this is during my very brief drive of the new GL the lamps didn't flip up and down as I thought it would.
Can others report if this is true?

I could be wrong, but doesn't federal law mandate level control on HID's?

this may be a stupid question but all the Xenon head lamps are active and self leveling. Are you sure you have the Bi-Xenon package? What does your bumper look like ??

i noticed that it is almost impoosible to see them move in the daylight or dusk. it is very noticeable when your turn them on for the first time at night
if yout turn them on and then off you really dont notice it the second time

Out Of Control!!
I don't think so. The Infiniti FX has bi-xenon and they are not self leveling. There is a selector switch on the dash with 3 positions on it. The lights move up and down according to which position the switch is in.

Jack,
Is the GL going to replace the Sienna? I'm looking at GLs for that purpose myself. I'd like to get something with more trailer towing capacity and more grunt than the Sienna has.

That is the plan as of now. That could change by Monday or Tues as my wife, after seeing the GL, wants it. The van is paid for so its nice to have at least one owned vehicle in the house. Most likely the Sienna is gone for the same reason as you stated.
